Thursday, October 19th: Udovnik Heads Event #13 Chop, $2,500 Single-Day Series Headlines Thursday's Schedule

ICYMI: Event #13 of the 2017 Isle Open was actually the inaugural running of the "Goliath Stack," a $140 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) event, that had a structure used before at the Isle Poker Room.  Players started with 35,000 unit stacks, and played levels that started at (15) minutes, but transition to (20) minutes just before registration's close.  The tournament attracted a field of (106) entries, and an official prize pool of $11,660.  A total of (14) players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing through the money bubble, and down to the final table.  After the elimination of Rick Kalgstein (Sunrise, FL) at said final table, the remaining nine players agreed to a deal, with Peter Udovnik (Coconut Creek, FL) the declared winner of the event.

The evening event was from the "secondary schedule," a $130 No Limit Hold'em Satellite Into Event #15 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em | $150,000 GTD).  The satellite drew a crowd of (85) entries, and ended up awarded the (10) seats that were guaranteed.  The following players were awarded seats into this weekend's event:

Tournaments: Event #15 is the $2,500 No Limit Hold'em Single-Day Series ($100,000 GTD), one of the premier tournaments of the series.  The one-day event is structured with 100,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (30) minutes over the course of the event.  The actual blind structure is proportionate to the starting stacks, with the big blind posting a single ante for the table.  The first time this tournament was played (August 22nd), it attracted a field of (75) entries, and a prize pool over $170,000.  With a guarantee on the event for the first time, expectations are high for today's tournament, which will have "live look-ins" throughout the day.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-3:00am (Friday morning), players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

- Players start with 100,000 in tournament chips
- Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
- Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
- Levels will last (30) minutes
- Ante is to be posted by the big blind (is a single ante), and in an all-in situation, the big blind is to be considered as having been posted first.

6:00pm - 2017 Isle Open (Secondary Schedule): $130 No Limit Hold'em Satellite Into Event #15 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em | $100,000 GTD) | 10 Seats Guaranteed

- Players start with 12,000 in tournament chips
- Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
- Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
- Level will last (20) minutes throughout the event
