Friday, November 10th: Weekend Action Headlines By "November $100,000"

ICYMI: The "November $100,000" action continued yesterday, beginning with Flight 1C of the tournament, which started at 11:00am.  The flight's registration closed with a total of (75) entries, and after Level 16 finished up, the bagging process would begin with (12) players headed to Sunday.  Terry Siele (Delray Beach, FL) bagged the Flight 1C chip lead, taking a bag of 195,500 to Day 2, and earning himself a seat into the $340 Package Satellite at the end of the month (November 29th).  Other notables to bag from Flight 1C include Jose Parra (192,000), Joseph Duchman (156,000), and Scott Zakheim (126,000).  A full listing of chip counts from the flight was posted last night, and can be found by clicking here.

Flight 1D would end up being the largest of the four to be played, with a total of (111) entries making up the field.  Play would be paused with 21:30 remaining in Level 15, as the field reached the 10% mark, and (12) players began bagging up chips.  Guy Ben-Shabat (Wichita, KS) would bag the flight's chip lead (337,000), and earned himself entry in the $340 Package Satellite.  Other notables to bag from Flight 1D included Steven Sondak (167,500), Andres Morales (98,500), and Robert Transue (36,000).  Official chip counts from the flight were posted in the early morning, and can be seen by clicking here.

The numbers from yesterday, combined with those from Wednesday, bring the total to (343) "November $100,000" entries.  There are (42) players with tickets booked to Sunday's Day 2, with another four flights scheduled over the next (48) hours.


Tournaments: The "November $100,000" continues today, a $175 No Limit Hold'em tournament with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool.  There are four flights remaining (after four were played the last two days), with two more today, and two tomorrow.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 15,000 units, and will play with (25) minute levels throughout the event.  Registration is open until the end of Level 8 (and the break that follows), with the flight scheduled to play through the conclusion of Level 16.  The chip leader from each flight with earn a "bonus," which is entry into the $340 No Limit Hold'em Package Satellite on November 29th (into $2,500 Single-Day Series and $1,500 Isle Classic Event #1).  

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that starting November 1st, players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand!!!  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
