Isle Open Event #3 (Day 2): Phil Hui Doubles Before Break, And Now Has Double Average

2018 Isle Open | Event #3
$100 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 22 (Blinds 10,000/20,000/20,000)
Total Event #3 Entries: 1,825
Event #3 Players Remaining: 75

Phil Hui's check after flopping top set was perfect, and ended up helping him double-up just before break.

About fifteen minutes before break, there would an open in early position at Table 6, with Phil Hui just flatting (with Q♠ Q).  He would go to the flop (which was Q 3♠ 2♣), and after action checked to him, he'd decide to check back.  The line ended up working perfectly, as he and his opponent would get it all-in on the turn (6♠), with his adversary drawing dead (Ax Qx).  The dealer counted down Phil's stack, which was 319,000, and just covered his opponent.  Hui is now over 650,000, and peaking for the day, with a stack almost double the average.

Players will be returning from their second break momentarily, with new blinds being posted of 10,000/20,000/20,000.

Phil Hui - 655,000 (32bb)
