Sunday, January 14th: Recapping Saturday's Six-Handed Deals, And Looking At Sunday's Scheduled Action

ICYMI: Saturday's tournament action started (at 11:00am) with a $120 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" ($5,000 GTD).  The event drew a nice sized field, with the tournament clock reading (54) entries at the end of registration.  The official prize pool would close at $5,543 (including bounties), spread across seven scheduled pay spots.  After the money bubble burst, and Jose Arvelo was eliminated in seventh place, the remaining players agreed to a six-way deal.  The full list of results from the tournament are published below:
  1. Michael Dotson (Jupiter, FL) $947
  2. Mike Spadafore (Boynton Beach, FL) $769
  3. Francois Gagne (Hillsboro Beach, FL) $679

  5. Jerry Willis (Margate, FL) $512

Just a few hours after the "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" ended, action for the evening tournament began, which was a $150 No Limit Hold'em ($15,000 GTD) event.  Registration ended up closing with (102) total entries, and a first place prize that was just over $4,570.  A total of thirteen players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to the point that the final table was six-handed.  We would see our second six-way deal of the day, with everyone involved walking away with at least $1,390.  The details of the chop, along with final table payouts, are listed below:

Tournaments: Sunday's tournament action kicks of at 11:00am, with the cards flying for the $120 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($2,000 GTD).  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 25,000 units, and levels that last (20) minutes throughout.  It is one of the most generous structures any player will find for a recurring event, and the numbers for the tournament show it.

The "Monster Stack" is followed at 6:00pm, by the $120 No Limit Hold'em "Turbo Bounty," which has a $2,500 guarantee.  This tournament is very similar to the "Big Stack Turbo Bounty," with the exception of the starting stack.  Players enter the event with stacks of 14,000 units, and play levels that last (15) minutes.  There is an optional add-on at the end of registration (Level 10), with players seeing a return of 10,000 units for $25 (with 100% of add-on money going towards the prize pool).

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that started back on November 1st, players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand!!!  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
