Monday, May 7th: Recapping The $175 NLH ($100,000 GTD), As We Return To Regularly Scheduled Programming

ICYMI: At 12:00pm yesterday afternoon, (120) players returned for Day 2 of the $175 NLH ($100,000 GTD).  The successful tournament, which had a total of 1,070 entries, saw players battling it out for their share of a $132,440 prize pool.  The field would reach the money in just under and hour of play, with speed being the trend of the day.  Once in the money, we would see a litany go notable names collecting another Isle Poker tournament cash, including Dolline Willis (95th place), TJ Shulman (88th place), Alvaro Grisales (71st place), Rick Kalgstein (66th place), Daniel Pearlman (56th place), Thomas Gari (43rd place), Tom Gity (35th place), Daniel Genachte (21st place), and Joseph Mancuso (14th place). 

Once play reached the final table, the stack sizes were pretty shallow, and continued to shrink as action played out.  After four final table eliminations, the remaining six players agreed to a deal, with Stephen Ibrahim (Ft. There were also two recurring tournaments on yesterday's calendar, starting with a $120 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD).  The event would attract a total of (25) entries, and ended up with an official prize pool right on the number.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

The final tournament of the day was a $130 NLH "Turbo Bounty," which also had a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The field would grow to (35) entries, with a prize pool of $2,695 up for grabs, along with the bounties.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Tournaments: Monday's tournament schedule begins (at 11:00am) with an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, that boasts a $2,500 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 12,000 units, and levels that last (20) minutes throughout the afternoon.  Registration is open through Level 8, which means players have until just before 2:00pm to join the action.

The evening tournament, which begins at 6:00pm, mirrors the event that came before.  It's an $80 No Limi Hold'em ($2,500 GTD) "double," each Monday in the month of May.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
