Thursday, June 21st: Dan Stasiukiewicz Tops Eight-Way Deal Of $200 NLH ($100,000 GTD), As We Move On To The Next Multi

ICYMI: At 12:00pm yesterday afternoon, (84) players returned for Day 2 of the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  It only took three levels to reach the money, with Mitchell Tabasky eliminated on the money bubble by Cory Williams (which would come full circle later on).  With the field in the money, the eliminations came at a steady pace, as the field reached the final two tables just five hours into the day.  We saw names like Michael Corbett, Matthew Vetstein, Frank Scala, Sal Accardi, and Matthew Ewert fall just short of the final table, but did add respectable results to their tournament resumes.  Once the final table was reached, the discussion of a chop was brought up, but the idea was quickly shut down.  Action would resume with the eliminations of Andre Bryan and Cory Williams, with the clock then being paused a second time, as players were ready to hear the ICM numbers.  It didn't take long for everyone to come to an agreement, as the numbers were appealing to everyone that remained.  The official final table results are listed below, with the full results from the tournament found by clicking here.
  1. Dan Stasiukiewicz (Coconut Creek, FL) $10,658
  2. Stephen Bristow (Deltona, FL) $10,420
  3. Cody Ferguson (Lantana, FL) $10,384
  4. Gustavo Vazquez (Miami, FL) $8,388
  5. Danny Blackburn (Deerfield Beach, FL) $8,059
  6. Herman Alter (North Miami, FL) $6,336
  7. Paulius Bikus (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $5,957
  8. Stanton Drazen (Delray Beach, FL) $5,176
  9. Cory Williams (Alva, FL) $2,045
  10. Andre Bryan (Pembroke Pines, FL) $1,690
There was also a $90 No Limit Hold'em Satellite that was run last night, into this weekend's $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD), which actually begins today.  The satellite guaranteed give seats into the event, and saw registration close with (21) entries.  The following players were successful in grabbing a seat for the $360 buy-in event, for a fraction of the price:
  1. Jeff Oldakowski ($360 NLH $50,000 GTD Seat)
  2. Gil Aboodi ($360 NLH $50,000 GTD Seat)
  3. Michael Fane ($360 NLH $50,000 GTD Seat)
  4. Robert Urspruch ($360 NLH $50,000 GTD Seat)
  5. Evan Braunstein ($360 NLH $50,000 GTD Seat)
Tournaments: Today does begin the month's last multi-flight event, a $360 No Limit Hold'em tournament, which carries a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.  There were be three flights over the next three days (all starting at 2:00pm), with Day 2 players returning on Sunday.  The event is structured with starting stacks of 20,000 units, and levels of (30) minutes on Day 1.  Things then get a little deeper on Day 2, as the levels transition to (40) minutes.  Each of the starting flights will play through Level 16, with registration open through Level 8.

At 10:00am and 6:00pm, there are $90 No Limit Hold'em Satellites into the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  The satellite is structured with 8,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes.  A total of 1 in 5 players will earn a seat into the $360 buy-in event, with (5) seats guaranteed.  Players that do win a seat, can choose one of the three starting flights to enter (Thursday, Friday, or Saturday).

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted, that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
