2018 Isle Open Event #3 ($100 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD) Winner Joshua Beckley ($22,520)

Event #3 Runner-Up Dan Diamond ($15,785)

Isle Open Event #3 (Day 2): Beckley Does It Again, Eliminates Fernando Salazar In 3rd Place ($10,230)

2018 Isle Open | Event #3
$100 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 34 (Blinds 200,000/400,000/400,000)
Total Event #3 Entries: 1,825
Event #3 Players Remaining: 2

Fernando Salazar (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) came into the day with just $1,867 in lifetime earnings, and now has ten times that amount, after his third place finish.

Fernando Salazar (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) opened the button to 1,000,000 (with just over 7,000,000 behind), and after Dan Diamond folded, Joshua Beckley shipped (having Fernando covered).  Fernando made the call, and the cards found their backs:

Salazar: A♣ 10
Beckley: Q♣ Q♠

Runout: J 10♣ 8♣ 5♠ 4♣

Salazar was able to flop a pair, but that would be all he could make out of the hand, as he'd leave the table in third place ($10,230).  Beckley and Diamond are now heads up, with Joshua holding 19,000,000, to Diamond's 10,000,000.

Isle Open Event #3 (Day 2): After Chop Discussion Falls Apart, Joshua Beckley Eliminates Mark Kottler In 4th Place ($7,575)

2018 Isle Open | Event #3
$100 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 33 (Blinds 200,000/300,000/300,000)
Total Event #3 Entries: 1,825
Event #3 Players Remaining: 3

Mark Kottrel (Boynton Beach, FL) reached the Event #3 final table, all the while, doing it under the radar.  He ran into the buzzsaw that is currently Joshua Beckley, and departs in fourth place.

The talks of a deal were quickly shut down after players couldn't agree to the numbers, and just three hands later, Mark Kottrel would find himself all-in against Joshua Beckley:

Beckley: 10♠ 8♠
Kottrel: A 9♠

Runout: 8♣ 8 6♠ J 3♣

Beckley is not the player you want to be all-in against at this final table, as he comes from behind to send Kottrel home in 4th place ($7,575).

Isle Open Event #3 (Day 2): Phil Hui Loses Flip To Fernando Salazar, Out In 5th Place ($5,725)

2018 Isle Open | Event #3
$100 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 33 (Blinds 200,000/300,000/300,000)
Total Event #3 Entries: 1,825
Event #3 Players Remaining: 4

Phil Hui (San Antonio, TX) was another player to come into the day with a "shorter" stack, but was able to navigate his way to the Event #3 final table.

Even though Phil Hui got a critical double up just a few hands earlier, his stack was just above ten big blinds.  Phil shoved UTG+1, and had to wait, as Fernando Salazar went into the tank for a good two minutes.  Salazar eventually announced a call, and the rest of the players would fold behind:

Hui: K Q♣
Salazar: 9♠ 9

Runout: K♣ 9 3♣ J♠ 2

Phil's king would be in the window, but right behind it, was one of Salazar's two remaining nines.  Hui collects $5,725 for fifth place, leaving the four remaining players discussing a chop.

Isle Open Event #3 (Day 2): Mitchell Smith (7th Place) And Abbey Daniels (6th Place) Eliminated By Joshua Beckley

2018 Isle Open | Event #3
$100 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 33 (Blinds 200,000/300,000/300,000)
Total Event #3 Entries: 1,825
Event #3 Players Remaining: 5

Mitchell Smith (West Palm Beach, FL) 7th Place - $3,820

Abbey Daniels (Coral Springs, FL) 6th Place - $4,625

Mitchell Smith had lost all but 100,000 of his stack, after doubling up Phil Hui two hands prior, and would be all-in on his big blind.  In that hand, Abbey Daniels would should from late position, with Joshua Beckley snap-calling out of the big blind:

Beckley: A A♠
Daniels: A 7
Smith: 7♠ 4♣

Runout: 9♠ 6 4♠ 8 J♣

The runout did actually bring some drama, as both of Beckley's opponents had numerous outs heading to the river, but Josh's pocket aces would hold.  Smith would earn $3,820 for seventh place, while Daniels takes home $4,625 for sixth place.

Isle Open Event #3 (Day 2): Jeram Capinpin Eliminated In 8th Place By Joshua Beckley ($3,025)

2018 Isle Open | Event #3
$100 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 32 (Blinds 100,000/200,000/200,000)
Total Event #3 Entries: 1,825
Event #3 Players Remaining: 7

Jeram Capinpin (Jacksonville, FL) came into the day with just over 66,000, but was able to turn that into a solid final table finish.

After players folded around to Joshua Beckley, who was on the button, he would put out a stack of 2,000,000 (a bet that basically covered the stacks of the blinds).  Mitchell Smith folded his small, with Jeram Capinpin going deep in the tank.  After about two minutes, he'd place his stack across his cards for the call:

Capinpin: A J♠
Beckley: A♠ Q♠

Runout: 8 6♠ 3♣ J Q♣

It looked as if Jeram hit a miracle to stay alive, but Beckley's good run continued, as he spike a queen on the river to win the hand.  The Jacksonville native collects $3,025 for his 8th place finish, adding to his career earnings of $16,940.

Isle Open Event #3 (Day 2): Mark Kottler Eliminates David Rivera In 9th Place ($2,250)

2018 Isle Open | Event #3
$100 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 31 (Blinds 100,000/150,000/150,000)
Total Event #3 Entries: 1,825
Event #3 Players Remaining: 8

David Rivera (Davie, FL) looked to be in prime position at the final table, but saw his fortune take a turn for the worse about ten minutes ago.

David Rivera's (Davie, FL) experience at the final table was not a pleasurable one.  Just before the short color-up break (that occurred minutes ago), he'd run kings into aces (of Capinpin) to lose close to half of his stack.  Just moments ago, action folded around to Mark Kottrel, who opened for 350,000.  Rivera three-bet shoved out of the small blind (for 1,500,000), with Kottrel quickly calling after Beckley folded his big blind:

Rivera: 3 3♠
Kottler: A Q♣

Runout: 10♠ 5♠ 5 J A♠

Rivera walked away from the table shaking his head, as his day flipped in the matter of just ten minutes.  He collected $2,250 for his ninth place finish, adding to his career earnings of $9,178.

Isle Open Event #3 (Day 2): Beckley Eliminates Francku Dumornay In 10th Place ($1,720)

2018 Isle Open | Event #3

Level 30 (Blinds 60,000/120,000/120,000)
Total Event #3 Entries: 1,825
Event #3 Players Remaining: 9

Francky Dumornay (Miami, FL) had a wild ride this evening, ending just moments ago, at the hands of Joshua Beckley.
Action at the final table folded around to the blinds, with Francky Dumornay (Miami, FL) going all-in from the small blind (for 1,160,000).  Joshua Beckley, who is the overwhelming chip leader, took a look around the table to assess the situation.  He'd eventually make the call, and the hands were tabled:

Dumornay: 9♣ 9
Beckley: Q 10

Runout: K10♠ 7♠ 7 Q♣

"You're so lucky man," Francky said as he exited the table.  While this finish may feel disappointing to Francky, the fact he made it this far is nothing short of a miracle.  He was down to just 10,000 chips in Level 25, but was able to somehow spin that up to a final table finish.
