Level 27 (Blinds 30,000/60,000/60,000)
Total Event #6 Entries: 542
Event #6 Players Remaining: 4

2018 Isle Open Event #6 winner Rodney Moret-Rojas ($25,711)

After the elimination of Gil Aboodi, the remaining players ran the numbers, and agreed to an ICM chop.  Rodney Moret-Rojas held the chip lead, and would be declared the tournament's winner, earning first place money in the deal.
  1. Rodney Moret-Rojas (Troy, MI) $25,711
  2. Leonardo Emperador Marquez (Aventura, FL) $23,937
  3. Santana Noronha (Davie, FL) $18,961
  4. Paulius Bikus (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $14,206

Isle Open Event #6 (Day 2): Gil Aboodi Takes A Rough Beat To Bust In 5th Place ($7,730)

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 27 (Blinds 30,000/60,000/60,000)
Total Event #6 Entries: 542
Event #6 Players Remaining: 4

Gil Aboodi (Hollywood, FL) may be disappointed after getting rivered, but can find a positive in this result, which brings his career earnings north of $200,000.

Before the dust settled from Consolo's elimination, we would hear an all-in and a call from the final table, walking over in time to see Gil Aboodi at risk:

Aboodi: A 10
Emperador: K J

Runout: A♠ J♠ 4♣ 3♠ J♣

Emerpador, who held one of the larger stacks of the remaining players, made somewhat of a loose call against Aboodi's fifteen big blind shove.  Leonardo seemed to be resigned to his fate after the turn, but hit a miracle jack on the river, to knock out Aboodi in 5th place ($7,730).

Isle Open Event #6 (Day 2): After A Lull In The Action, Phillip Consolo Eliminated In 6th Place ($6,405)

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 27 (Blinds 30,000/60,000/60,000)
Total Event #6 Entries: 542
Event #6 Players Remaining: 5

Phillip Consolo (Aventura, FL) has had himself a fine series to this point, earning sixth place money in a chop of Event #1, and adding today's final table score to the resume.

With the stacks as deep as they are, it's no surprise that the action slowed down like it did.  Just moments ago, Phillip Consolo (Aventura, FL) was eliminated in 6th place ($6,405).  This is Phillip's second cash of the series, coming just two weeks after he chopped Event #1.  Consolo got just under $11,000 for his sixth place finish in the opening event, earning just over half of that for this sixth place finish.

Isle Open Event #6 (Day 2): William Smith Knocked Out In 7th Place ($5,365), But Has A New Television As Parting Gift

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 25 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/40,000)
Total Event #6 Entries: 542
Event #6 Players Remaining: 6

William Smith (Miami Beach, FL) not only earned $5,365 this evening, but he's also walking out of the poker room with a brand new television.

Earlier this afternoon, there was a drawing for a free television, courtesy of the Deepstacks Charity Festival (which is just two weeks away).  William Smith (Miami Beach, FL) was the lucky winner of the new television, and had it waiting for him by the tournament podium.  After coming into the day with the eighteenth largest stack, Smith was hoping it was going to be a long time before he saw his free prize once again.

Considering the fact that Smith entered the final table as the shortest stacked player, it was an impressive feat to outlast three other players, and earning himself an extra $2,500.  This result brings Smith's lifetime earnings over $65,000, and is his largest cash since July of 2014.

Isle Open Event #6 (Day 2): After An Impressive Day 2 Run, Elliot Zaydman Out In 8th Place ($4,370)

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 25 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/40,000)
Total Event #6 Entries: 542
Event #6 Players Remaining: 7

Elliot Zaydman (Glenrock, NJ) was another player to crawl out of the cellar (in terms of chip counts), but saw his spin-up cut short, as he'd be eliminated in eighth place.

Elliot Zaydman (Glenrock, NJ) has a very even demeanor at the table, so without seeing his chip stack, it's difficult to know which way he's trending.  Elliot is no stranger to the tournament grind, and spent most of the day just trying to get his stack back to the chip average.  With two tables remaining, he was able to find two double-ups, and entered the final table sixth in chips.  Zaydman was eliminated just moments ago, and would earn $4,370 for eighth place.  The prize money brings his career earnings over $695,000, with this being his second cash of the series.

Isle Open Event #6 (Day 2): Lawrence Klur Eliminated Just Moments After Francis, Exits In 9th Place ($3,385)

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 24 (Blinds 20,000/30,000/30,000)
Total Event #6 Entries: 542
Event #6 Players Remaining: 8

Lawrence Klur (Pembroke Pines, FL) had a very roller-coaster last hour, going from short stack...to top four...to out in ninth place.

If Lawrence Klur (Pembroke Pines, FL) wants to look back at his defining "period" of Day 2, he can pinpoint the moment the action was down to two tables.  With thirteen players remaining, Klur had over 1,400,000, just a few orbits after being the tournament's short stack.  Things were looking up for Lawrence, but he'd experience a downswing, highlighted by a set-under-set hand that cost him three streets of value.  Klur entered the final table as the second shortest stack, but was able to ladder one spot, fading the quick elimination of Francis Margaglione.

Lawrence, who has over $607,000 in lifetime tournament earrings, can add the $3,385 prize money (for ninth place) to his impressive resume.

Isle Open Event #6 (Day 2): Francis Margaglione Out In 10th Place ($2,830)

2018 Isle Open | Event #6
$360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 24 (Blinds 20,000/30,000/30,000)
Total Event #6 Entries: 542
Event #6 Players Remaining: 9

Francis Margaglione (Davie, FL) came to the final table second in chips, but ended up being the first player to depart, exiting the table in 10th place.

Francis Margaglione (Davie, FL) was just three months removed from his $360 No Limit Hold'em title (during the Florida State Poker Championship), making today's run very familiar to the tournament veteran.  Francis spent most of the day atop the leaderboard, event coming to the final table second in chips.  Just like Jason Thalas earlier (who bubbled after being the chip leader), Francis met the ugly side of variance, and became the first player to be eliminated from the final table.

Margaglione earned $2,830 for his tenth place finish, which he can add to his lifetime earnings of $220,604.
