Monday, October 22nd: Event #6 Ends In A Four-Way Deal, Raminder Singh Wins Another Isle Poker Major Trophy

ICYMI: Just like any other competition, it's not about how you start...it's all about how you finish.  A total of (59) players returned for Day 2 of Event #6 ($360 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD), with the tournament's winner (along with three others to chop), coming from the middle of the pack.

 Event #6 of the Isle Open ran eight starting flights earlier in the week, attracting a total of (542) entries, and finishing with a prize pool of $162,600.  Of the players that returned for Day 2, (48) would reach the money, with all eyes on the $33,830 up top.  Bill Farnan sent the field into the money, eliminating one-time chip leader Jason Thalas on the bubble.  From there, it was all about deep play, as the chips average never dipped below thirty big blinds. 

 The final table was reached after eight hours of play, and after three hours (and six eliminations), the four remaining players would strike a deal.  Rodney Moret-Rojas (Troy, MI) was declared the tournament's winner, getting his hands on a second Isle Poker major trophy.  Details from the deal, along with full final table results, are posted below:

As the final table was playing out, Event #7 of the Isle Open was wrapping up.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em "Turbo Bounty" has a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool, and has been a staple of these tournament series.  This installment attracted a total of (55) entries, and saw registration close with a prize pool of $3,960 (bounties not included).  The tournament ended in a heads-up chop, but the story from the event was Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) getting himself another trophy.  This was Singh's seventh Isle Poker major trophy, a number that is unmatched by many.

Tournaments: Today's Isle Open schedule is all about the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event ($300,000 GTD), which begins last this week (Thursday to be exact).  There are three satellites on the schedule, two of which are "step satellites," and one that is a standard satellite.  Things begin earlier than normal, with the first $80 No Limit Hold'em Step-Satellite into a $340 NLH Main Event Mega-Satellite, which guarantees (3) seats.  There are five $340 NLH Mega Satellites on the schedule this week (Thursday through Sunday), which players can choose to enter (if they are one of the step-satellite winners, or if they want to buy-in directly).  

 At 3:00pm, there is a $175 No Limit Hold'em Satellite Into Event #11 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event), with every 1 in 10 entries being awarded a seat.  While that satellite is winding down, another $80 No Limit Hold'em Step-Satellite Into $340 NLH Main Event Mega-Satellite gets underway (6:00pm).
Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

- Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
- Levels will last (20) minutes

6:00pm - 2018 Isle Open | $80 NLH Step Satellite Into $340 NLH Main Event Mega-Satellite (5 Seats GTD)

- Players start with 10,000 in tournament chips
- Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
- Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
- Levels will last (15) minutes
