Friday, November 16th: Keeping An Eye On Both Multis, As The "Overlay Alarm" Close To Sounding

ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament schedule kicked off at 11:00am, with Flight 1B of the $100 No Limit Hold'em ($25,000 GTD) "early bird."  The second of four flights ended up attracting a total of (29) total entries, bringing the combined total to (55).  Just like yesterday's Flight 1A, a total of three players bagged chips for Day 2, led by Alan Levin (who bagged 200,000).  Official chip counts from Flight 1B are posted below:

Alan Levin - 200,000
Martius Polakous - 196,000
David Feigenbaum - 184,000

A few hours after the "early bird" wrapped up, players arrived for Flight 1B of the $100 No Limit Hold'em ($25,000 GTD) "Night Owl."  The second flight of the best saw better numbers than yesterday, as registration closed with (39) entries (bringing the combined total to 76).  Four players bagged chips for Sunday's Day 2, with the official chip counts from Flight 1B posted below:

Raymond Rickard - 425,500
Michael Anderson - 259,500
James McCaffrey - 62,500
Bruce Phillips - 32,500

Tournaments: Today's tournament schedule hosts the third flights of the simultaneous multis that are running.  Both events are $100 No Limit Hold'em ($25,000 GTD), one with only 11:00am flights, and the other (labeled the "Night Owl") with only 6:00pm flights.  The events carry the same structure, with 20,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes.  Registration for each flight is open through Level 8, with action scheduled to wrap up at the end of Level 18 (or if the 10% mark is reached, whichever happens first).  Players who reach that point with bag chips for their respective Day 2, with the 11:00am tournament returning to action at 12:00pm on Sunday, and the "Night Owl" at 6:00pm on Sunday.  Day 2 for each tournament will be played out with (30) minute levels.

These tournaments need a total of (334) entries (each) to reach their respective $25,000 guarantees, and at the moment, neither have a total of (100) entries to this point.  We are very close to sounding the "overlay alarm," with some potential for great value in these tournaments (both of which have two flights remaining).

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-9:00am (Friday into Saturday), the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
