Sunday, December 30th: "New" Sunday Slate Headlines Tournament Schedule, As We Start To Put A Bow On 2018

ICYMI: Saturday's tournament schedule began (at 11:00am) with a $130 No Limit Hold'em event.  After eight levels of open registration, the field closed with (18) entries, and an official prize pool of $1,746.  Action ended in a four-way chop, with Perry Parang (Cooper City, FL) taking home first place honors.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Perry Parang (Cooper City, FL) $626
  2. Joshua Gold (Delray Beach, FL) $613
  3. Patrick Carraro (Lake Worth, FL) $312
  4. Duane Minerva (Delray Beach, FL) $195
The evening time slot hosted a $150 No Limit Hold'em tournament, that boasted a $2,500 guaranteed prize pool.  The posted number would be eclipsed midway through the registration period, as the field  ended up closing with (25) entries (and an official prize pool of $2,925).  There would be no deal-making in the event, as action played down to an outright winner.  Robert Mayer (Boca Raton, FL) bested Joseph Roda (New York, NY) during heads-up play, walking away with $1,316 for his efforts. Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Robert Mayer (Boca Raton, FL) $1,316
  2. Joseph Roda (New York, NY) $790
  3. Viola Pinney (Cape Canaveral, FL) $497
  4. Tom Gity (Pompano Beach, FL) $322
Tournaments: The day's action begins at 11:00am, with an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which boasts a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  During the break after Level 8, players have the option to add-on, choosing between a single ($20) or double ($40) add-on.

After more than a year in the evening time (Sunday) slot, the "Turbo Bounty" gets replaced, by a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Single Re-Entry" ($1,500 GTD).  While not quite a "freeze out," this tournament focuses on the importance of decisions, as players will only be entitled two total entries (while most tournaments are unlimited).  The event is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
