  7. Roberto Desogos (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $152
Tournaments: Two "staple" tournaments of the recurring schedule highlight Thursday's schedule, beginning at 11:00am, with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack." The player-friendly event is structured with 25,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This tournament has a history of attracted nice sized fields, with today's installment expected nothing less.

The "Monster Stack" is followed at 6:00pm, by a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Bounty" event.  It should be noted, that this tournament is not the "turbo bounty" that runs on Sunday's, as players get extended levels of (20) minutes (along with the 20,000 unit starting stacks).  Registration is also open through Level 8, not the ten levels that the turbo allows.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

ICYMI: Tuesday's tournament action began at 11:00am, with the $150 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo event, which sported a $2,500 guaranteed prize pool.  With (24) entries at the end of registration, the guarantee would once again be surpassed, official closing at $2,688.  This particular tournament has seen a lot of deal making in the past, with yesterday's installment no different, as a six-way chop was agreed to (short of the schedule payouts).  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $40 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $40.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The day's "standard" high hand period will last from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.

Tuesday, February 19th: Berman Tops Five-Way Deal Of $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD), Returning To Regularly Scheduled Programming

ICYMI: Yesterday was highlighted by Day 2 of the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD), with (78) players returning to action at 12:00pm.  Of those that came back to play, (72) were scheduled to reach the money, leading one to believe the bubble would burst pretty quickly.  That was not the case though, as the hand-for-hand process would last (22) hands, and close to an hour.  Once the field was in the money, the pace of play picked up, with the final table reached by 6:30pm.  The idea of an ICM chop was brought up before the first final hand was dealt, but one player immediately shut that down. Action continued on through the elimination of Juan Reyes (in sixth place), with the final five players then agreeing to a deal.  Kenneth Berman, who found himself with the chip lead at the time of the chop, was awarded first place money.  Chop results are listed below (with official full results to be posted later):
