Friday, May 31st: Final Day Of May Poker Action, As We Prepare For A New Month Of Promotions And Tournaments

ICYMI: Thursday's $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($1,500 GTD) got underway at 11:00am, and ended up attracting a total of (11) entries.  That meant that the $1,500 prize pool would be spread across two (pretty sizable) pay spots.  There would be no deal making in the event though, as action played down to an outright winner (with the official results listed below):

The evening time slot hosted the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" ($2,000 GTD), with a field that saw registration close with (22) entries.  Three spots were in line to reach the money, and after the elimination of Lee Harrison (in third place), the final two players agreed to a heads-up chop. Tournaments: Friday's tournament action kicks off at 11:00am, with a $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,000 GTD), which will see every 1 in 10 entries earn a $500 pay spot.  The tournament is structured with 14,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This event should is very popular with players, as it is a small investment...with a large return.

The evening tournament (6:00pm) is an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which carries a $3,000 guarantee.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At the end of registration, players have the option to add-on, choosing between a single ($20) or double ($40).



Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

11:00am - $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,000 GTD)

Thursday, May 30th: Month Of May Wrapping Up, With June's Tournament And Promotional Calendar To Be Released Today

ICYMI: Wednesday's tournament slate started with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor," which boasted a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The field would grow to (27) entries by registrations close, with the remaining players scheduled to play for three $1,000 prize spots.  When four players remained, a deal was agreed to, with the official results listed below:

Tournaments: Thursday's tournament schedule sees the return of a "staple," along with the introduction of a new event.  The day's action begins at 11:00an, with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($1,500 GTD).  The player-friendly event is structured with 25,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This tournament has a history of attracted nice sized fields, with today's installment expected nothing less.

The "Monster Stack" is followed at 6:00pm, by a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" ($2,000 GTD) event.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 15,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Throughout the tournament, each player elimination is worth $25 (hence the green chip bounty).

There is an addition to the day's promotions, with the "Twilight Full House" promo beginning at 6:00pm.  The promotion sees (30) total prize awarded, with the breakdown as such: the first (15) full houses (that are tens full or better) will be awarded $50, while the first (15) quads or better will be awarded $150.  In order for hands to qualify for the promotional prize, they must be made using both hole cards (in Omaha, players must flop the qualifying high hand to be eligible).

Wednesday, May 29th: Full House Promo (9:00AM), And Stacked Tournaments, Headline Wednesday's Schedule

ICYMI: Tuesday's tournament action started at 11:00am, with the $150 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,000 GTD).  The event's registration closed with a field of (15) entries, and an official prize pool of $2,000, which was spread across two pay spots ($1,300 for first, and $700 for second).  Once the field reached the money bubble (three players), a deal was agreed to, with Ceasar Garcia taking home first place money.  Official results of the tournament are listed below:

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $40 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $40.  In order to be eligible, the full  house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

Tuesday, May 28th: Three-Way Deal Ends $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD), Returning To Regularly Scheduled Programming

ICYMI: At 1:00pm yesterday afternoon, a total of (103) players returned for Day 2 of the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  From that number, (89) players would reach the money, battling it out for their share of the $131,355 prize pool.  The money bubble burst less than an hour into play, with player's focus then shifting to those healthy final table payouts.  At 8:00pm, after the elimination of Jairo Velazquez, the final ten players would take their seats at the final table.  A quick discussion about chopping was shut down, so action then continued on, playing down to the point where things were three-handed.  The final trio then agreed to a deal (daily even), with Theo Lawson (Miami Gardens, FL) awarded first place in the deal (even though he received the same amount as runner-up Thao Le (Davie, FL).  Final table results are listed below, with full tournament results to be posted later this morning:
