Gary Fitzgerald (Miami, FL) is trying continue his run good, just like Zachary Mullennix did, after beating him heads-up to win the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) earlier this month.

As the old adage says, "It's not how you start, but how you finish."  Just two weeks ago, Gary Fitzgerald came into Day 2 of the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) 30th in chips, of the (34) total players that returned.  One would almost write his stack off (compared to the rest), and consider making the money a good run for Fitzgerald.  He would end up surpassing all expectations, finding himself heads-up against Zachary Mullennix, just one elimination away from winning the event (and $15,515).  His dream run would end with a second place finish, which happened to be his largest ever tournament cash ($9,770).

While it's a great story to tell, Fitzgerald is trying to better his position for Day 2 of this event, and looks to be doing a good job.  He currently the chip leader as Level 12 begins, with players heading on their final break in less than thirty minutes.  Once play resumes, we will take a final look at updated chip counts from the Flight 1C field.

Gary Fitzgerald - 185,000 (92bb)

Dorene Menezes (Westport, MA) decided to bypass the first eight levels of the day, and has waned no time acclimating herself to her new surroundings at Table 3.

Of the (74) entries in the Flight 1C field, Dorene Menezes (Westport, MA) was the final player to join the action, sitting down with seconds remaining in the registration break.  She had a neighbor at the table break down one of her four yellow chips (5,000 denomination), and got ready to receive her first hand.  Since then, she has been one of the most active players at her table (Table 3), and increased her stack by more than double.

Menezes has $4,171 in lifetime tournament earnings, which includes a career best score that came here at the Isle Poker Room.  Just under a year ago, Menezes took runner-up honors in a $100 No Limit Hold'em (recurring) event, which saw her earn $1,135.  Dorene looks like she is on a mission this afternoon, as she tries continue the spin of her 20,000 unit starting stack.

Level 8 (Blinds 400/800/800)
Total Flight 1C Entries: 69

It's been over six months since Hoa Lang's (West Palm Beach, FL) last recorded cash, and she's likely to change that on Monday, after a great start to Flight 1C.

The action prior to the river wasn't caught, as we approached Table 1 during a hand between Hoa Lang (West Palm Beach, FL) and Valeria Ligeiro.  The board read 4 10 J♠ 9♣ K♠, and with close to 20,000 in the pot, Lang checked the action over to Valeria.  Ligeiro then tossed out a bet of 10,000, and without must hesitation, Lang made the call.

"Ace-high," Valeria announced, to which Lang tabled her A J♣.  Hoa was not deterred by the over-cards, or the four-liner that ran out, and it helped her increase her stack to 75,000.

Hoa Lang - 75,000 (93bb)
Valeria Ligeiro - 17,000 (21bb)

Players will be taking their second break of the day after this level, and once play resumes in Level 9, the registration will be closed for Flight 1C.

Christina Cadbury-Feldman (Boca Raton, FL) got off to a strong start this afternoon, and has continued trending in the right direction.  She now stands as one of the top stacks in the room.

Between 2014 and 2017, Christina Cadbury-Feldman (Boca Raton, FL) recorded just three tournament cashes, totaling a combined $686 (all here at the Isle Poker Room).  There was then a two year gap on her resume, but since the beginning of this year, she's returned in a big way.  Feldman has already recorded three results this year alone, including her first ever four-figure score.  Christina was one of four players to earn a $1,000 payday during one of our $130 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($3,000 GTD) events on the recurring schedule (January 23rd).  She's also won an $80 No Limit Hold'em event on January 13th, and final tabled another $80 buy-in event just a few days ago.

It looks like the run good is carrying over to this particular tournament, as Cadbury-Feldman finds herself as one of the chip leaders.

While James Hamburger's novelty glasses are for fun and laughs, his eyes may have looked like that, after seeing his aces-full were no good in a three-way all-in at the WSOP Circuit Main.

We are all spoiled as players here in South Florida, with the abundance of different poker rooms, all that host different tournaments.  Outside of this event, there is also another multi running in the area, and it's pretty special.  The WSOP Circuit Main Event got underway this afternoon, with it's $1,700 buy-in, and $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.  Now that tournament is not for everyone, as recreational players usually can't just shell out $1,700 for a tournament at-will.  There are other players that can comfortably play both the WSOP Circuit Main Event, and this $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) event, once of which joined the action moments ago.

James Hamburger took a pretty brutal beat in Level 1 of the WSOP Circuit Main Event, as his A♠ A♣ fell on a board of J♠ 4 4 A x.  The three-way all-in on the turn would see James up against J♣ J (a player who flopped jacks-full), and 4♠ 4♣ (someone who flopped quads), which left Hamburger searching for a one-outer on the river.  Unfortunately for James, the miracle river never arrived, and he'd choose to bypass spending another $1,700.  He took the quick drive to the Isle Casino Pompano Park, and is now hoping to bag chips  for Monday's Day 2.

James Hamburger - 24,000 (48bb)

Christina Cadbury-Feldman - 68,000 (170bb)
Hoa Lang - 60,000 (150bb)
Kemonte Keesee - 47,000 (117bb)
Andrew Daire - 42,000 (105bb)

$150 No Limit Hold'em
$50,000 GTD
Level 4 (Blinds 200/300/300)
Total Flight 1C Entries: 58

Valeria Ligeiro (Pembroke Pines, FL) has shifted her focus to the tournament streets today, looking to recapture some past success she's experienced.

With many of the same players frequenting these multi-flight events, it's easy to spot some of the "fresh" faces in the field.  Valeria Ligeiro (Pembroke Pines, FL) has been playing cash recently in the room, but it join the tournament action for the first time in a while.  Valeria has just under $18,000 in lifetime tournament earnings, with her most recent recorded result, being the largest cash of her career.  She took runner-up honors in a $150 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) last January (at Hard Rock Hollywood), which netted her $3,875.  Ligeiro doe shave one Isle Poker cash on her resume, having ran deep in a $140 No Limit Hold'em ($200,000 GTD) in September of 2016 (24th place for $833).

Some other "new" names to the notables list, that are sitting in the Flight 1C field, include the likes of:

Christina Cadbury-Feldman
Jacques Gravel
Jerrold Jacobs
Joseph Gallinaro
Richard Kelleher

Players will be taking their first break at the end of this level, returning to Level 5, and new blinds of 300/500/500.  Once the cards are back in the air, we will take a first look at chip counts from the field.

$150 NLH $50,000 GTD (Flight 1C): Stuart Greenbaum Looking For Back-To-Back Titles

$150 No Limit Hold'em
$50,000 GTD
Level 3 (Blinds 100/200/200)
Total Flight 1C Entries: 53

Stuart Greenbaum (Hollywood, FL) is just a month removed from his most recent title, taking down the $140 No Limit Hold'em "Bankroll Builder" in January.

One of the first notables that we spotted in today's Flight 1C field was Stuart Greenbaum (Hollywood, FL), who was last featured during the $140 No Limit Hold'em "Bankroll Builder" in January.  Stuart bested (803) players to reach the final table, taking his seat as the chip leader amongst the ten remaining players.  Before the first final table hand was even dealt, players began talking about an ICM deal, and eventually agreed to the numbers.  Greenbaum got $6,778 for his first place share, which brought his career earnings north of $333,000.

We mentioned in the title that Greenbaum is going for back-to-back titles, but that should read a "three-peat," as he won a recurring event at Hard Rock Hollywood prior to the "Bankroll Builder" win.  Today's Flight 1C field is already close to surpassing the top number from yesterday, with some other notables part of the early arriving crowd:

Hoa Lang
Kenneth Berman
Terry Siele
Zaki Lichaa

We are two flights into the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) event, and things are already looking like a great success.  The first pair of starting flights attracted a total of (114) entries, of which (12) players bagged chips for Monday's Day 2.  Hal Pawluk bagged the chip lead from Flight 1A (391,000), while Armando Del Pozo led the six players that reached the Flight 1B bagging process (274,000).  The combined $12,882 prize pool from both flights is already on pace to cruise past the $50,000 posted guarantee, with this weekend's numbers expected to grow exponentially.

Cards will be in the air shortly for Flight 1C, which carries the same structure as the two completed flights before it (and the five that will follow).  Players will sit down to starting stacks of 20,000 units, with levels throughout the event lasting (30) minutes, and registration open through Level 8.

Today's live blogged coverage will begin with an official list of chip counts from Flight 1A and Flight 1B, followed by a first look at notables in the Flight 1C field.
