Thursday, May 2nd: Big Day In The Poker Room, Including The Start Of The $150 NLH ($50,000 GTD), And $250 "Turbo" High Hands

ICYMI: Wednesday's tournament schedule began at 11:00am, with a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor," which guaranteed a $3,000 prize pool.  After eight levels of open registration, the event's field would close with (28) entries, with three players scheduled to walk away with $1,000 prizes.  Those payouts were altered on the money bubble, as players agreed to a four-way deal, with the official results posted below:

At 6:00pm, there was a $40 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into this weekend's $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  A total of (10) seats were guaranteed into the multi (which begins today), with (39) entries making up the field.  Listed below, are the ten players to win a seat in last night's satellite:

Tournaments: As mentioned above, today we see the beginning of the month's first multi, a $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  There are a total of six flights (over the next three days), with Day 2 scheduled for 1:00pm on Sunday.  Each of the flights are structured with 16,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Day 1 will play through the conclusion of Level 14, or when the 10% mark is reached (whichever comes first).  It should be noted, that when the tournament reaches it's final table, the levels will transition to (40) minutes.  Today's first flight begins at 11:00am (Flight 1A), and is followed at 6:00pm by Flight 1B.

There is also a $40 No Limit Hold'em Satellite (into the $150 No Limit Hold'em $50,000 GTD) on today's schedule, beginning at 3:00pm. The satellite guarantees (3) seats into the $50,000 guaranteed event, and is structured with: 10,000 unit starting stacks, (15) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

There is an addition to the day's promotions, with the "Twilight Full House" promo beginning at 6:00pm.  The promotion sees (30) total prize awarded, with the breakdown as such: the first (15) full houses (that are tens full or better) will be awarded $50, while the first (15) quads or better will be awarded $150.  In order for hands to qualify for the promotional prize, they must be made using both hole cards (in Omaha, players must flop the qualifying high hand to be eligible).

You can add another addition to the day's promotions, one that has garnered the interest of players from the moment it was announced.  From 6:00pm-10:00pm, there will be $250 high hands awarded every (15) minutes.  In order for hands to qualify for the promotional prize, they must be made using both hole cards (in Omaha, players must flop the qualifying high hand to be eligible).  If the qualifying high hand is made using one card, the player will be awarded a $125 prize.

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

- Levels will last (30) minutes, transitioning to (40) minutes at the final table
