Monday, July 1st: A New Month Begins, Filled With Exciting Announcements And Events!!!

ICYMI: Sunday's tournament proceedings began at 11:00am, with an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, that carried a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The registration period for the event would close with (18) entries, and an official prize pool of $2,000, which was scheduled to be spread across to pay spots.  Prior to the money bubble, the remaining four players agreed to a deal, with the official results listed below:
  1. Danny Blackburn (Deerfield Beach, FL) $600
  2. Martin McPake (San Pedro, Belize) $600
  3. Jan Sayfie (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $400
  4. Todd Olson (Jacksonville, FL) $400
The evening time slot (6:00pm) was filled by the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Turbo Bounty" ($2,000 GTD), a staple event to close the weekend.  Once registration closed, the tournament clock would show (22) entries, and a prize fund of $1,584 (not including bounties).  Three places were scheduled to get paid, but for the second time in a day, a recurring event would end in a four-way chop.  Official details of the deal are listed below:
  1. Andrew Daire (Boca Raton, FL) $498
  2. Jeffrey Oldakowski (Pompano Beach, FL) $430
  3. Baldemar Mejia (Delray Beach, FL) $352
  4. Gregg Weiss (Delray Beach, FL) $304
Tournaments: Monday's tournament schedule starts with a little twist, as the $130 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,500 GTD) event finds itself in the afternoon time slot (after running Tuesday afternoon for more than a year).  The buy-in has decreased, while the guarantee increases, making it a great little formula for the players.  The structure sees a small change as well, as the starting stacks shift to 12,000 units, with levels that last (20) minutes in length.

At 3:00pm (and at that time all week), there will be an $80 No Limit Hold'em Satellite, which will awarded (3) guaranteed seats into a $340 NLH Florida State Poker Championship Main Event Mega-Satellite.

The evening time slot (6:00pm) hosts an $80 No Limit Hold'em tournament, which has a $1,500 guarantee.  The event is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Prior to the player's first hand, they have the option to get an add-on for $10.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

There is an addition to the day's promotions, with the "Twilight Full House" promo beginning at 6:00pm.  The promotion sees (30) total prize awarded, with the breakdown as such: the first (15) full houses (that are tens full or better) will be awarded $50, while the first (15) quads or better will be awarded $150.  In order for hands to qualify for the promotional prize, they must be made using both hole cards (in Omaha, players must flop the qualifying high hand to be eligible).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
