Friday, July 5th: Holiday Weekend Expected To Bring A Lot Of Action To The Poker Room!!!

ICYMI: Thursday (July 4th's) tournament schedule began at 11:00am, with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack," which had a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  With most having off from work on the holiday, the guaranteed was almost doubled at registration's end, as the tournament clock showed a total of (30) entries.  The $2,910 prize pool was to be spread across four pay spots, with players agreeing to a deal, once the money bubble burst:

The evening action commenced at 6:00pm, with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty," which boasted a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  A total of (18) entries would make up the field at registration's close, meaning the $1,296 prize pool (not counting bounties) would be paid out across three spots.  Just like the afternoon event before it, this evening tournament saw a deal agreed to (right after the money bubble burst):

  2. Robert Desogos (Boca Raton, FL $697
  3. Christian Bayer (Lauderdale By The Sea, FL) $349
Tournaments: Friday's tournament action kicks off at 11:00am, with a $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,000 GTD), which will see every 1 in 10 entries earn a $500 pay spot.  The tournament is structured with 14,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This event should is very popular with players, as it is a small investment...with a large return.

At 3:00pm (and at that time all week), there will be an $80 No Limit Hold'em Satellite, which will awarded (3) guaranteed seats into a $340 NLH Florida State Poker Championship Main Event Mega-Satellite.

The evening tournament (6:00pm) is an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which carries a $3,000 guarantee.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At the end of registration, players have the option to add-on, choosing between a single ($20) or double ($40).

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the Early Bird Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands (beginning today) are changing in a big way today, as they will be awarding up to $300 every (20) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $300 being awarded to high hands that are made using two cards.  Those made using one card, will be awarded $150.  For those players in tournaments, two-card high hands are worth $100, with one-card high hands walking away with $50.

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
