Monday, August 5th: First Full Week Of August, Kicking Off With A Schedule Of Rake-Free Re-Buys!!!

ICYMI: While yesterday wasn't technically the first running of the "Seniors" event, there were some noticeable changes in the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Seniors And Veterans" ($2,000 GTD) tournament. Outside of the name, the event also offered $100 rake-free re-buys, for the first time since it's introduction to the recurring schedule.  Registration for the tournament closed with (16) total entries, and an official prize pool of $2,000.  Two players were scheduled to earn some pretty healthy payouts, but action paused with four-players remaining, as a deal was agreed to (with official results listed below):
  1. Bernie Boudle (Davie, FL) $661
  2. Joseph Kearns (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $623
  3. Zaki Lichaa (Pompano Beach, FL) $410
  4. Myrna Albert (Boca Raton, FL) $306
The evening tournament was new to the schedule, as players arrived at 6:00pm for the $50 No Limit Hold'em (w/ $30 Rake-Free Re-Buys), which boasted a $1,000 guaranteed prize pool.  Clearly, this was an event that players were looking forward to, as the field grew to a respectable (31) entries (with a prize pool of $2,037).  Once again, we would see the tournament end in a four-way deal, with the official results listed below:
  1. Anthony Zambrowski (Chandler, AZ) $592
  2. Luis Abedrabbo (Boca Raton, FL) $590
  3. Markus Petteway (Jacksonville, FL) $532
  4. Sabas Ferrer (Coral Springs, FL) $323
Tournaments: Monday's recurring schedule begins at 11:00am, with an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, that offers $50 rake-free re-buys (and a guaranteed prize pool of $2,000).  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has a registration period that stays open through Level 8.

The 6:00pm time slot hosts a $60 No Limit Hold'em tournament, which offers $40 rake-free re-buys (a $1,200 guaranteed prize pool), and is known as "Maniac Mondays."  The structure for the event sees players sitting down to starting stacks of 10,000 units, playing (15) minute levels, and registration open through Level 10.

Promotions: Things begin with the "Full House Promo," which will open the doors seven days a week (9:00am on Saturday and Sunday).  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $150 every (20) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded, regardless of one or two cards being used to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, two-card high hands are worth $100, with one-card high hands walking away with $50.

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
