Sunday, August 11th: "Chip Buster" Prize Pool Already Over $100,000, With Player's Final Opportunity To Try And Bag Chips

ICYMI: As expected, yesterday's numbers from the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" ($100,000 GTD), were reminiscent of what we saw during the Florida State Poker Championships (when the event almost attracted 2,000 entries).  The 11:00am flight (Flight 1G) closed with (185) total entries, which is the largest of the eight flights to have been played.  There were (27) players to bag chips from the afternoon flight, led by Mike Valdez, who packed away 741,000 for Day 2.  And official list of chip counts from Flight 1G, are listed below:

Flight 1H got underway at 6:00pm, and saw the field grow to (162) entries, by the time the registration period closed.  While the flight didn't eclipse the largest number of entries, it did wind up with the two largest Day 2 stacks, as a pair of players bagged more than 1,000,000 chips.  A list of the (20) players to bag chips for tomorrow's Day 2, are listed below:

Tournaments: With over (1,000) entries, and a prize pool that's already eclipsed the $100,000 guarantee, today's final pair of flights are sure to be the largest.  The 11:00am (Flight 1I) and 6:00pm (Flight 1J) flights are the last opportunity for players to try and bag chips for tomorrow's Day 2.  Each of the flights have the same great structure, with 50,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels, and registration open through Level 8.  Official chip counts from each flight will be posted at the end of play every evening.

Promotions: Things for the day begin with the "Full House Promotion," which kicks off the action seven days a week (when the doors open on the weekdays, and at 9:00am on Saturday and Sunday).  Players in all jackpot eligible games are awarded $50 for each full house made.  There are some important rules to think about though, as the full house must be made using two cards, and has to be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hand process will see $150 up for grabs, every (20) minutes.  From 9:00am-12:00am, players may qualify for the high hand, as long as they are holding aces-full or better (using one or two cards).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
