Thursday, August 22nd: Thursday's Schedule Gaining Steam, With Omaha 8B And "Green Chip Bounty"

ICYMI: Wednesday's action kicked off (at 11:00am) with another $100 No Limit Hold'em ($2,000 GTD) event, for the second afternoon in a row.  The turnout was better than Tuesday's, as the field closed with (20) entries, and an official prize pool of $2,000.  Three spots were scheduled to get paid, and once the money bubble burst, a deal was agreed to.  Official results from the chop are listed below:
  1. Joseph Mancuso (Deerfield Beach, FL) $756
  2. Carl Handwerker (Pompano Beach, FL) $675
  3. Pedro Palacio (Coconut Creek, FL) $569
The 6:00pm time slot hosted a $50 No Limit Hold'em event, which offered $30 rake-free rebuys, and a $1,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The guarantee would be eclipsed early in registration, eventually closing at $1,590, after the field closed with (20) entries.  Three places were to be paid, and after one elimination (in the money), a heads-up deal was agreed to (with results listed below):
  1. Emiliano Da Cunha Frade (Plantation, FL) $672
  2. Vladimir Tsitildze (Key West, FL) $600
  3. Craig Caffro (Pompano Beach, FL) $318
Tournaments: Today, and two more Thursdays in August, the $120 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,000 GTD) finds itself a home.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8.

The non-no limit Hold'em action is followed (at 6:00pm), by a $100 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" ($2,000 GTD) event.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 14,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Throughout the tournament, each player elimination is worth $25 (hence the green chip bounty).

Promotions: Things begin with the "Full House Promo," which will open the doors seven day a week!!!  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $150 every (20) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded, regardless of one or two cards being used to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, two-card high hands are worth $100, with one-card high hands walking away with $50.

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
