Thursday, September 5th: Desogos Scores "Daily Double," Omaha 8B/Bounty Players Ready For Return

ICYMI: Yesterday we saw the return to the full recurring tournament schedule, after a few days without events, because of Hurricane Dorian.  At 11:00am, it was the return of the $100 No Limit Hold'em event, which ran without a posted guarantee.  The field would grow to (14) entries at registration's close, with an official prize pool of $1,078.  Two players were scheduled to get a share of the pool, but a three-way deal was agreed to (on the money bubble), with official results listed below:
  1. Roberto Desogos (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $445
  2. Mark Molina (Boca Raton, FL) $322
  3. Robert Quiroz (Miami, FL) $311
At 6:00pm, players began to arrive for the $60 No Limit Hold'em event, which offered $40 rake-free re-buys (and also ran without a guarantee).  Registration for the tournament closed with (8) total entries, and after including the re-buys, the prize pool grew to $776.  Only one player was scheduled to walk away with the entire prize pool, but players ended up agreeing to a three-way deal.  Once again, it would be Roberto Desogos in the first place slot, with the official results listed below:
  1. Roberto Desogos (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $260
  2. Ed Rappa (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $258
  3. Vincent Laino (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $258
Tournaments: At 11:00am this morning, the $120 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo finds itself a home.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8.

The non-no limit Hold'em action is followed (at 6:00pm), by a $100 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" event.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 14,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Throughout the tournament, each player elimination is worth $25 (hence the green chip bounty).

Promotions: Things begin with the "Full House Promo," which will open the doors seven day a week!!!  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $150 every (20) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded, regardless of one or two cards being used to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, two-card high hands are worth $100, with one-card high hands walking away with $50.

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
