Wednesday, December 4th: "Chip Buster" Attracts Impressive Field, As We Prepare For December's First Multi ($200 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD)

ICYMI: Tuesday's tournament slate began at 11:00am, with the $120 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo event, which boasted a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  Registration for the tournament would close with a total of (19) entries in the field, meaning three spots were scheduled to reach the money.  Once the money bubble burst, the final three players immediately agreed to a deal, with the official results listed below:
  1. Ian Cohen (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $708
  2. Gerald Hertz (Pompano Beach, FL) $682
  3. Gernie Moorehead (West Palm Beach, FL) $610
The evening time slot hosted the ever-popular $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster," and it's healthy guarantee of $3,000.  The tournament had it's biggest field in a while, as registration closed with (51) entries in the field (giving us a prize pool of $4,947).  All but one player at the ten-handed final table would make the money, with the official results from the evening event listed below:
  1. Lazaro Rodriguez (Miami, FL) $1,100
  2. Stephen Bromfield (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $702
  3. Larry Sullivan (Davie, FL) $598
  4. Roberto Alvarado (Pompano Beach, FL) $549
  5. Mohamad Mbaied (Pompano Beach, FL) $478
  6. Karen Duffy (Pompano Beach, FL) $453
  7. Craig Browne (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $435
  8. Brian Dunn (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $387
  9. Barry Siegel (Boca Raton, FL) $245
Tournaments: Tomorrow starts the first multi-flight tournament of December, a $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  That being said, today's schedule is dedicated to the satellites for that event.  Each of the satellite have a $45 buy-in, offering players an opportunity to join the action, for a fraction of the price.  The satellites run at 11:00am, 2:00pm, and 6:00pm...all with the same structure (8,000 unit starting stacks, 15 minute levels, registration through Level 6).

Promotions: With the calendar changing over to December, there are some changes in promotions to take note of.  Every day, from 9:00am through 12:00pm, the high hands will be $100 every (10) minutes.  The "turbo" high hands will have rollovers, meaning we will see some healthy payouts over the course of the three hour period.  Qualifying high hands can be made using one or two cards, and will receive the same $100 payout (or whatever the rollover amount is for the period).

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 12:00pm-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
