ICYMI: Saturday's tournament schedule kicked off at 11:00am, with an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, that carried a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  Registration was open through Level 8, and at the time of it's close, the tournament clock would show (15) entries (for a small overlay).  That meant that two players were scheduled to reach the money, and were in line for some pretty healthy payouts.  The action never reached heads-up play, as a four-way deal was agreed to (short of the schedule money), with the official results listed below:

  3. Mohamad Mbaied (Boca Raton, FL) $422
  4. Gerald Hertz (Pompano Beach, FL) $208
The day's headlining tournament was a $130 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD), which was slated in the 6:00pm time slot.  This tournament has been a great success over the past few months, with last night being no different.  Registration for the tournament closed with (143) entries, and an official prize pool of $13,871.  A total of (18) players reached the money, with the evening's action wrapping up in an eight-way chop, led by Ronald Campillo (Plantation, FL).  Official results from last night's tournament are listed below:

Promotions: The "Turbo High Hands" were well received in December, and they have found a home in January as well. Beginning at 9:00am (every day of the week), $100 high hands will be awarded every (10) minutes, with rollovers applying. Because of those rollovers, we have seen the 9:00am-12:00pm period award prizes of $400...$700...even $1,000, over the past month.

The standard high hand promotion then takes over, and runs from 12:00pm-12:00am.  Qualifying high hands will be awarded $300, given away every (30) minutes (no rollovers).  During that period, if the winning high hand is made using one card, a $150 prize will be awarded.  For those players playing in a tournament, winning high hands will be paid out $100.

From 12:00am-3:00am, $100 high hands will be awarded every (60) minutes.
