Tuesday, December 5th: Two More Isle Classic Chops, With Kosinskiy And Moret-Rojas Grabbing Trophies

ICYMI: Day 5 of the 2017 Isle Classic saw two events on the schedule, the first of which got underway at 11:00am.  Event #4 was a $60 No Limit Hold'em tournament, with a $7,000 guaranteed prize pool, one of the more popular afternoon events during these major series.  A total of (151) entries made up the field, with those that still remained from that number at the registration, able to pick up some more chips with an optional add-on.  Once those add-ons were included into the official number, the prize pool would close at $7,462.  A total of (19) places were scheduled to be paid out, with a min-cash worth $112, and the eventual trophy winner to get $2,058.  Yuriy Kozniskiy (Miami Beach, FL) became the tournament's "declared winner," after heading a six-way deal that ended the event.  Also included in the deal were Isle Poker tournament notables Daniel Genachte, and Paula Holder.  The official payouts from the final table are listed below:
  1. Yuriy Kozniskiy (Miami Beach, FL) $1,215
  2. Joseph Farrar (Wellington, FL) $1,196
  3. Paula Holder (Pompano Beach, FL) $890
  4. Daniel Genachte (Deerfield Beach, FL) $698
  5. Phillip Tyson (West Palm Beach, FL) $691
  6. Philip Micalizzi (Pompano Beach, FL) $571
  7. Irwin Block (Deerfield Beach, FL) $261
  8. Andrew Thompson (Hallandale Beach, FL) $233
  9. Scott Hecker (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $206
  10. Zaki Lichaa (Pompano Beach, FL) $179
The big numbers continued for the evening event, as (249) entries made up the field for Event #5.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em event boasted a $20,000 guaranteed, and ended up soaring post the number, with the official prize pool closing at $24,900.  The large field brought out even larger payouts, with (32) places scheduled to get paid in the tournament, and first place to potentially take home $5,720.  With the final table payouts as they were, a seven-way deal was agreed to, with everyone taking home $1,737 (and Rodney Moret-Rojas the trophy winner). Details of the deal, along with the rest of the final table payouts, are posted below:
  1. Rodney Moret-Rojas (Troy, MI) $3,240

Tournaments: Tuesday afternoon's Isle Classic tournament is Event #6 ($175 Limit Omaha 8B Hi/Lo), a tournament that has a $8,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The event is the first of two mixed tournaments on the Isle Classic schedule (with H.O.R.S.E. next week), and is structured with 14,000 unit starting stacks.  Levels will last (20) minutes over the course of the event, which will surely attract all of the notable split-pot players...but they're looking to scoop.

Event #7 then follows the Omaha 8B tournament, with the action beginning at 6:00pm.  The $60 No Limit Hold'em event has a $12,000 guarantee, and should attract one of the larger fields of the entire series.  The tournament is structured with 14,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes over the course of the evening.  There is an optional add-on at the end of Level 8, with players getting 10,000 units for $20 (with 100% of the add-on money going towards the prize pool).

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that started back on November 1st, players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand!!!  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
