Monday, November 9th: Doors Open With Full House Promo, With $500 High Hands On The Horizon

ICYMI: Sunday's schedule hosted a matinee event, with a $130 No Limit Hold'em tournament getting underway at 3:00pm.  The wind and rain were not a deterrent, as the field grew to (27) entries by the time registration closed, which equated to a $2,700 prize pool.  Four players were scheduled to reach the money, and after the bubble burst, the remaining players agreed to a chop.  Joseph Duchman (Miami Beach, FL) was awarded first place money in the deal, and took home $795 for his efforts.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Joseph Dutchman (Miami Beach, FL) $795
  2. Roberto Alvarado (Pompano Beach, FL) $771
  3. Melissa Mancini (Oakland Park, FL) $656
  4. Thierry Franklin (Boca Raton, FL) $478
Tournaments: The tournament action will take a back seat for a few days, with the next scheduled event occurring on Friday ($150 No Limit Hold'em $5,000 GTD).  With the recent success of the tournaments, more events to play in are likely in the near future.

Promotions: The time to arrive at the Isle Casino Pompano Park Poker Room is when the doors opens, as that's when the day's headlining promotion gets underway.  The first (20) full houses will be awarded $40, with those that make aces-full (or better) eligible for the high hand as well (player must use both hole cards for the full house promotion, and the hand must be the winning hand).

The high hand promotion that runs over the course of the day, will see $100 awarded every (30) minutes.  The qualifying hand is aces-full of deuces, and must be made using both hole cards (one-card hands do no qualify).

The week's...actually the month's headlining promotion runs tomorrow, as $500 high hands will be awarded from 2:00pm-10:00pm!!!
