William Swicicki (Tamarac, FL) had eight recorded results in 2018, all of which were from events here at the Isle Poker Room.  Unlike many of the players we have featured to this point in coverage, William's results came in multis, opposed to recurring events.  William's combined earnings from last year were $5,545, bringing his lifetime number up to $28,044.  His best result of 2018 was from a stand-alone $175 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) event, which he finished in 8th place ($1,520).

Swicicki has already found himself an Isle Poker tournament cash in 2019, finishing in 91st place during the "Isle New Year Kickstart" ($100,000 GTD), which was worth $395.  He now headlines our second look at notables in the field, as the list continues to grow larger:

$140 NLH "Bankroll Builder" (Flight 1C): Francois Gagne On The Cusp Of Tournament Milestone, Looks Surpass $50,000 In Earnings On Monday

"Bankroll Builder"
$140 No Limit Hold'em

$75,000 GTD
Level 6 (Blinds 300/500/500)
Total Flight 1C Entries: 72

Francois Gagne (Hillsboro Beach, FL) has already finished in first place two times this year (here at the Isle), including a recent score in last week's "survivor."

Yesterday's Flight 1A updates started with a small feature on Stanton "Dr. Stan" Drazen, who is one of the most recognizable regulars in the Isle Poker (afternoon) tournament scene.  Another face that is seemingly always in the crowd (when it comes to tournaments) is Francois Gagne (Hillsboro Beach, FL), who has amassed an impressive resume, much of which was earned in recurring tournaments at this property.  Gagne is just short of the $50,000 lifetime earnings milestone, most recently take first place in a chop of last week's $130 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($3,000 GTD).  The $812 he earned for the top spot it about a tenth of his largest ever score, which came back in 2012 ($8,230 for finishing first in a $200 No Limit Hold'em event at Palm Beach Kennel Club).

Francois headlines the first look at notables in today's Flight 1C field, a list that includes names like:

Kimberly Jones
William Reich
Brian Guzman
Adrian Healey
Brian Haines
Paula Holder
Ronald Levy
Richard Shtrax

The opening day of the $140 No Limit Hold'em "Bankroll Builder" ($75,000 GTD) is in the books, with the focus shifting to the second pair of starting flights for the event.  Yesterday's action saw a combined total of (152) entries in the two flights, with (62) coming from Flight 1A, and (90) from Flight 1B.  From that number, (16) players bagged chips for Monday's Day 2, led by Steven Moreno (632,000).  Moreno bagged the Flight 1B chip lead, somehow eclipsing the number of Jason Thalas, who packed away 594,000 to end Flight 1A.  Those stacks are more than 200,000 clear of their nearest opponent, putting the performance into perspective.

Official chip counts from the first two flights will be posted shortly, as we begin the third starting flight of the tournament.  Flight 1C will see it's first hand dealt in just a minute or so, with players sitting down to 20,000 unit starting stacks.  The levels will last (20) minutes over the course of the day, and will stay that way through Day 2, and the conclusion of the event.  Registration is open through Level 8, with the flight's action scheduled to end after Level 18 (or if the 10% mark is reached, which occurred during both of yesterday's flights).

After the official Day 2 chip counts are posted, we will take a look at the notable names in the field, followed by sporadic updates throughout the afternoon.

Friday, January 18th: Schedule Highlighted By Second Pair Of "Bankroll Builder" Opening Flights, And $500 High Hands (Every 20 Minutes)

ICYMI: Yesterday was the opening day of the $140 No Limit Hold'em "Bankroll Builder" ($75,000 GTD), with the first pair of flights on the schedule.  Flight 1A got things off to a strong start, as the afternoon's registration period closed with (62) entries in the field.  From that number, (7) players would bag chips for Monday's Day 2, led by Jason Thalas (Ft. Lauderdale, FL).  Jason bagged 594,000, which looked to be a number that may stay atop the leaderboard throughout the rest of the scheduled flights, considering he bagged close half of the chips in play (for Flight 1A).  Those interested in seeing the official chip counts from Flight 1A, can click here.

The numbers grew even larger for Flight 1B, as the second flight's registration period closed with a total of (90) entries.  Once again, we would see play stop at the 10% mark, with (9) players bagging chips from the flight.  Jason Thalas's reign on top didn't even last eight hours, as Steve Moreno bagged the Flight 1B chip count, with 632,000.  Official chip counts from Flight 1B can be seen by clicking here.

After two starting flights, the $140 No Limit Hold'em "Bankroll Builder" ($75,000 GTD) has a total of (152) entries, of which (16) players have bagged chips for Day 2.  The current prize pool is $16,264, meaning (549) entries are still needed to reach the posted guarantee.  Each of the next six flights need to average (92) entries to help meet the $75,000 number.

Tournaments: At 11:00am, the third of eight starting flights for the $140 No Limit Hold'em "Bankroll Builder" ($75,000 GTD) will get underway, with a pair of flights each of the next three days (and Day 2 on Monday).  Each of the flights have the same structure: with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Play is scheduled to conclude after Level 18, or once the field reaches the 10% mark, whichever happens first.  Once either of those moments are reached, players will bag up chips for Monday's Day 2 (which begins at 12:00pm).  Just as Flight 1C is entering it's "homestretch," Flight 1D will begin (at 6:00pm), carrying the same structure as the afternoon installment.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-6:00pm, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

At 6:00pm, the promotion transitions over the one of the two "special" January promotion, which gives players the opportunity to win $500 (every 20 minutes).  During the period from 6:00pm-12:00am, high hands will be awarded every (20) minutes.  Winning high hands that are made using both hole cards, will be awarded the promotional $500 prize.  Winning high hands that are made using one card, will be awarded $250.  "General rules" (which are listed in the poker room) apply to the rest of this promotion.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
