ICYMI: With only two tournaments left in the month of January, as the leaderboard as close as we've seen (since it's inception), the final two tournaments held more importance than ever. Saturday's $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) saw some impressive numbers, as registration closed with a total of (115) entries, and an official prize pool of $11,500. The final fifteen players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to a five-handed final table. At that time, a deal was agreed to between the remaining players, with Jonathan Marcu (Boca Raton, FL) taking home first place. The first place leaderboard points helped Marcu vault to the top of the rankings, with only two more tournaments on the list:
- Jonathan Marcu (Boca Raton, FL) $2,238
- Warren Thomas (Owen Sound, Canada) $1,754
- Mark Brannick (Boca Raton, FL) $1,550
- Dean Stevenson (Coral Springs, FL) $1,486
- Michael Weinberg (Delray Beach, FL) $1,131
- Genrikas Sakalinskas (Miami, FL) $506
- Jill Rukeyser (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $437
- Diana Prkacin (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $385
- Robert Klafter (Stuart, FL) $339
- Christine Difiore (Davie, FL) $299
- Did Not Report (Englewood, FL) $299
- Shayne Christie (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $299

Tournaments: At 3:00pm, the cards get in the air for our $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD), an event that is sure to attract some South Florida's best tournament players.
