Monday, June 24th: In Addition To A Successful Recurring Tournament Run, "Satellite Week" For The FSPC Is Upon Us

ICYMI: Sunday's tournament schedule began at 11:00am, with an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, that carried a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  Last week's trend was recurring tournament success, and things continued with the afternoon event, as the prize pool reached $2,140 (after a field of 32 total entries).  From that total, four players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to the point things were three-handed.  A chop was then agreed to, with the official results listed below:
  1. Jesse Koven (Deerfield Beach, FL) $710
  2. Jan Sayfe (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $645
  3. David Felger (Lantana, FL) $550
  4. David Coughlin (Lighthouse Point, FL) $235
The evening time slot hosted the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Turbo Bounty" ($1,500 GTD), which has had a home on Sunday for a while now.  After ten full levels of open registration, the field closed with (18) total entries, an a prize pool of $1,550 (not including bounties).  Three spots were scheduled to get paid, and after one in-the-money elimination, a heads-up deal was agreed to (with results listed below):
  1. David Konopoelski (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $700
  2. Robert Peoples (Boca Raton, FL) $540
  3. Tony Casas (Miami, FL) $310
Tournaments: Monday's tournament schedule starts with a little twist, as the $130 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,500 GTD) event finds itself in the afternoon time slot (after running Tuesday afternoon for more than a year).  The buy-in has decreased, while the guarantee increases, making it a great little formula for the players.  The structure sees a small change as well, as the starting stacks shift to 12,000 units, with levels that last (20) minutes in length.

At 3:00pm (and at that time all week), there will be an $80 No Limit Hold'em Satellite, which will awarded (3) guaranteed seats into a $340 NLH Florida State Poker Championship Main Event Mega-Satellite.

The evening time slot (6:00pm) hosts an $80 No Limit Hold'em tournament, which has a $1,500 guarantee.  The event is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Prior to the player's first hand, they have the option to get an add-on for $10.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

There is an addition to the day's promotions, with the "Twilight Full House" promo beginning at 6:00pm.  The promotion sees (30) total prize awarded, with the breakdown as such: the first (15) full houses (that are tens full or better) will be awarded $50, while the first (15) quads or better will be awarded $150.  In order for hands to qualify for the promotional prize, they must be made using both hole cards (in Omaha, players must flop the qualifying high hand to be eligible).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
