Tuesday, September 10th: "Chip Buster" Ends In Four-Way Deal, With Noam Ben-Arie Taking Home First Place Money

ICYMI: Day 2 of the $175 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" ($100,000 GTD) was front and center yesterday, with (139) players returning at 1:00pm.  Just over half of those players would reach the money (87), with the bubble bursting just a few hours into play.  Action continued, as numerous notable players added Isle Poker results to their resume, with the final table reached shortly after 9:00pm.  Players discussed a final table chop (ten ways), but not everyone could get on the same page, so the tournament rolled on.  After the elimination of Vicki Holmes (in fifth place), discussions of a chop came up again, this time with success.  The final four players all earned over $11,774, with Noam Ben-Arie taking home first place money ($15,874).  Official final table results are listed below, with full results to be posted in the early afternoon:
  1. Noam Ben-Arie (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $15,784
  2. Michael Newman (Nanuet, NY) $14,173
  3. Armando Del Pozo (Wellington, FL) $13,354
  4. William Underdown (Boca Raton, FL) $11,774
  5. Vicki Holmes (Boynton Beach, FL) $5,625
  6. Hector Pacheco (Davie, FL) $4,485
  7. Alik Sitnyakovsky (Israel) $3,715
  8. Juan Solares (Guatemala) $2,955
  9. Dmitry Agrachov (Delray Beach, FL) $2,220
  10. Scott Sommer (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) $1,840
The evening tournament was a $60 No Limit Hold'em ($1,200 GTD) event, that offered $40 rake-free re-buys.  Registration closed with (15) entries in the field, and an official prize pool of $1,200.  Two players were scheduled to reach the money, and once the bubble burst, the final two agreed to an even chop (with the official results listed below):
  1. Jamie Maas (Delray Beach, FL) $600
  2. Alexander Emglesson (Sweden) $600
Tournaments: Today's action begins at 11:00am, with a $100 No Limit Hold'em event, that boasts a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament is structured with 14,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8.

The "Chip Buster" returns at 6:00pm, but in it's recurring format, which sees a slightly more "condensed" structure.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em event has a $3,000 guarantee, which should easily be surpassed.  Players in the tournament will be sitting down to starting stacks of 50,000 units, playing (20) minute levels, and can register through Level 8.

Promotions: Things begin with the "Full House Promo," which will open the doors seven days a week (9:00am on Saturday and Sunday).  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $150 every (20) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded, regardless of one or two cards being used to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, two-card high hands are worth $100, with one-card high hands walking away with $50.

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
