ICYMI: If you follow the South Florida poker circuit, Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) needs no introduction. Singh has seen success in all types of tournaments...whether it's a recurring event, major event, small buy-in, large buy-in...he does it all. He continued to add to his already impressive tournament resume, taking home first place money in a five-way chop of Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD). The event attracted a total of (173) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $58,474. As per the "final table finish" format, the top nine players were scheduled to earn a piece of the prize pool. While Raminder's win was a highlight of the evening, it wasn't the headline. Gregory Spinder's second place finish helped him earn enough points to assume the top spot on the Player of the Month leaderboard. Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
- Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) $15,969
- Gregory Spinder (Parkland, FL) $10,881
- Michael Newman (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $8,681
- Neil Zonenashvili (Aventura, FL) $6,317
- Robert Kessler (Parkland, FL) $6,100
- Brian Krinsky (Boca Raton, FL) $2,924
- Evan Teitelbaum (Parkland, FL) $2,924
- Gil Nachum (Dania Beach, FL) $2,339
- Nicholas Velentzas (Pompano Beach, FL) $2,339
Tournaments: At 5:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD)s "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle. This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2). To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.
The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows). The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries. Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):
- 40%
- 18%
- 10%
- 7%
- 7%
- 6%
- 6%
- 3%
- 3%
