ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament schedule hosted the first pair of starting flights for the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  Between the two flights, there were a combined (148) entries, of which (16) players bagged chips for Day 2.  Flight 1A saw a total of (64) entries, with Edgar Lavilla leading the seven players to bag chips from the flight (268,500).  Flight 1B, which had registration close with (84) entries, saw Matthew Zarcadoolas top the nine players to reach Day 2 (341,000).  The top ten stacks from the first day of action belong to:

The (148) entries from Saturday's action equate to a prize pool of $19,980, which is still less than half of posted number ($50,000).  Today's final pair of flights need at least (223) entries to reach the guarantee, and while these last day's of action in a multi are usually the busiest, there is still a possibility of an overlay for this event.
Tournaments: There are three events on today's tournament schedule (for the second day in a row), all surrounding the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) multi.  At 11:00am, the cards get in the air for the third starting flight of the event (of four total). Flight 1C is structured with 16,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes over the course of the event.  Registration is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows), with play for the day scheduled to conclude after Level 18 (or if the 10% mark is reached before then).  Players that bag chips will then return on Monday (September 3rd), for Day 2 at 12:00pm.

At 2:00pm, players have the opportunity to enter this weekend's multi, for just a fraction of the price. The $50 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into the $175 NLH ($50,000 GTD) guarantees (3) seats, and is structured with 10,000 unit starting stacks, with levels that last (15) minutes.  Registration for the satellite is open through Level 8.

A short while after the satellite wraps up, the final flight of the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) gets underway.  Flight 1D, which begins at 6:00pm, carries the same exact structure at the afternoon flight that ran before it.

Promotions: The day's promotions initially run from 10:00am-6:00pm, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
