ICYMI: Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em event was up against one of the biggest multi-flight tournaments in the history of Florida (and ran without a posted guarantee), so the intimate field did not come as much of a surprise. The cards got in the air at 3:00pm, and after eight levels of open registration (and a short break), the field would reach a total of (11) entries. The $3,773 prize pool was scheduled to be paid out to the top two spots, with action playing down to an outright winner. Matthew Munsen (Saint Peter, MN) bested Vladimir Grechnikov (Toms River, NJ) during heads up play, earning $2,452 for the win. Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with a final Player of the Month leaderboard for July:
- Matthew Munsen (Saint Peter, MN) $2,452
- Vladimir Grechnikov (Toms River, NJ) $1,321
Tournaments: At 5:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD)s "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle. This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2). To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.
