Sunday, August 14th: Sunday Is All About The Return Of The $400 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish," Massive Turnout Expected!!!!

ICYMI: If there is a tournament that rarely has to worry about an overlay, it's Saturday's $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD).  The event consistently attract field sizes that help crush the guarantee, with last night being no different.  Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (59) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $5,900 (which was scheduled to be paid our across the top eight spots).  Deal-making was not in the cards, as the action played down to an outright winner, with Marcus Williams (St. Albert, Canada) taking home first place.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
  1. Marcus Williams (St. Albert Canada) $1,944
  2. Anderson Patino (Miami, FL) $1,142
  3. John Petrosky (Delray Beach, FL) $716
  4. Ralph Locher (Cooper City, FL) $484
  5. Chris Flores (Weston, FL) $378

Tournaments: This afternoon's tournament is getting a little upgrade, as we see the return of a guaranteed prize pool, in addition to the "final table finish" format.  The $400 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) event gets underway at 2:00pm, and is structured with 30,000 chip starting stacks.  Levels will last (30) minutes throughout the entirety of the event, with registration open through Level 10 (and the break that follows).  As mentioned, the "final table finish" is in place, meaning that regardless of where the prize pool closes, it will be paid out to only the top nine spots (those that make the final table).  There is a $20,000 guaranteed first place prize, which is sure to attract a special crowd (so get there early)!!!

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
