ICYMI: Yesterday's schedule was all about the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante ($200,000 GTD), with the first flight of the event, and two satellites for players to gain entry into the event.  The first satellite was a $130 No Limit Hold'em version, which awarded one seat for every ten entries.  After registration closed, there were (43) players in the field, meaning that four seats were up for grabs, as well as a fifth place awarding cash.  The results from the satellite are listed below:
  1. Charlemagne Benjamin ($1,100 Single-Ante Seat)
  2. Paulius Bikus ($1,100 Single-Ante Seat)
  3. Arlene Vazquez ($1,100 Single-Ante Seat)

  5. Zaki Lichaa ($330 Cash)
Following the 10:00am satellite, was the opening flight of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante ($200,000 GTD), which got underway at 2:00pm.  After eight levels of open registration, and an hour long dinner break, the field would close with (60) entries.  A total of $60,000 is going towards the overall prize pool, which is a very strong start to an event such as this.  There were (13) players able to bag chips at the flight's conclusion, led by Edward Mandel, who packed up 269,500.  The top five stacks from Flight 1A belonged to:

Edward Mandel - 269,500
Kobi Ribak - 258,500
Richard Whitebrook - 209,000
Bill Farnan - 190,500
Erik Christensen - 158,500

The evening satellite (6:00pm) was a $240 No Limit Hold'em event, which awarded one seat into the $1,100 Single-Ante, for every five entries in the field.  Registration would close with (34) entries, which awarded six seats, and a seventh place spot that paid cash.  The results from the satellite are listed below:

Tournaments: Today's tournament schedule is almost exactly like yesterday's, except that the evening satellite ($240 No Limit Hold'em) offers a (5 Seat GTD).  The day starts at 10:00am, with a $130 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into the $1,100 NLH Single-Ante (1 in 10 wins seat).  The satellite is scheduled with starting stacks of 10,000 units, and levels that last (20) minutes over the course of the action.

Sandwiched between two satellites is the actual event players have all circled, with the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante ($200,000 GTD) beginning at 2:00pm.  The second of three flights (Flight 1B) is structured with starting stacks of 30,000 units, and levels that last (40) minutes (and will transition to (50) minutes on Day 2.  Registration is open through Level 8, and the dinner break that follows...so players have until the first hand is dealt in Level 9 to join the action.  The day is scheduled to play through Level 14, which action winding up just after midnight.

The second satellite of the day starts at 6:00pm, and is a $240 No Limit Hold'em satellite into the $1,100 NLH Single-Ante ($200,000 GTD).  One in every five entries in the event will award a seat in the payouts, with this option very popular for players this week.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 12,000 units, and levels that last (20) minutes.  Registration is open through Level 8, and the players that do win seats, can enter tomorrow's Flight 1C.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that started back on November 1st, players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand!!!  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
