Wednesday, April 5th: "Tuesday $10k" Has Some Unfinished Business, "Spin To Win" On Tap

ICYMI: Last night's "Tuesday $10k" attracted a nice sized field of (358) total entries, and boasted a $12,246 prize pool for the $40 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) event.  A total of (36) spots were scheduled to get paid, with a min-cash worth $80, and first place taking home $3,302.  As the night turned to early morning, the remaining three players had to choose from two options: agree to a deal and head home, or bag chips up and return Wednesday night.  The players chose to the latter, and will be resuming the tournament at 7:00pm this evening.  Posted below are the players names, their chip counts, and what they are playing for.  Action will resume with Level 25, and blinds at 50,000/100,000/10,000.

  1. Michael Loprien - 3,260,000 (32bb)
  2. Omar Sedar - 1,275,000 (12bb)
  3. Jairo Carrillo - 770,000 (7bb)
Remaining Payouts:
  1. $3,302
  2. $1,959
  3. $1,286
The afternoon event, a $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD), got underway at 11:00am.  There were a total of (41) entries, and an official prize pool of $3,157.  There were five spots getting paid in the tournament, and after the eliminations of George Tardugno (Weston, FL) in 5th place ($253) and Dai Lam (Margate, FL) in 4th place ($347), the remaining three players agreed to a deal:
  1. Daniel Reitberg (Lauderdale Lakes, FL) $953
  2. Yesniel Pulido (Davie, FL) $870
  3. Sergio Jesus Alves Sand (West Palm Beach, FL) $734
Tournaments: Following in the footsteps of every Wednesday before this (since the "Spin To Win" promotion started), there is only one tournament on the schedule this evening.  The $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" ($25 Bounties) gets underway at 6:00pm, and boasts a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000.

Promotions: The high hand promotions are in full swing from the moment the doors open this morning, with the "Turbo High Hands" ($100 awarded every 10 minutes from 9:00am-12:00pm, with rollovers) distributing money at a rapid pace.  The transition at 12:00pm begins the "Spin To Win" promotion, which awarded over $15,000 in promotional prize money last week (over a span of eleven hours).  It's the high hand promotion that makes all others jealous, and affords those that have a qualifying high hand (awarded every 30 minutes), an opportunity to spin the ever-popular "Money Wheel."  The total amount awarded...along with hourly breakdown, will be published tomorrow afternoon, here on the blog.

6:00pm - $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo" w/ $25 Bounties ($5,000 GTD):

- Players will begin with a 18,000 starting stack
- Late and re-entries for the first (10) levels
- Option player "add-on" at the end of Level 10 ($25 for 10,000 tournament chips), with 100% of the "add-on" going to the prize pool
- Levels are (15) minutes in length
