Friday, February 7th: $400 No Limit Hold'em ($40,000 GTD) Makes It's Introduction, While $500 High Hands Headline Evening Play

ICYMI: Thursday's tournament schedule hosted a $60 No Limit Hold'em Satellite in the afternoon (into today's $400 No Limit Hold'em $40,000 GTD), and the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" ($3,000 GTD) in the evening.  Results from both of those events have not yet been submitted, but once they have been, an updated post will be published.

Tournaments: Today is a big day, as we see the introduction of a new tournament to the schedule, with the expectation to see it return (pending that it goes over well with the players).  The $400 No Limit Hold'em ($40,000 GTD) is a tournament that focuses more on "speed," than the multi-flight tournaments that last many days.  The event has two starting flights, with an afternoon option (at 11:00am), as well as an evening option (6:00pm).  The tournament is structured with 30,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels (transitioning to 40 minutes on Day 2), and registration through Level 8.  Players that succesfully reach the end of Level 14 (the scheduled conclusion of the flights), will bag their chips up, and return for Day 2 tomorrow (at 12:00pm).

Those players that would like to join the action for a fraction of the price, have a satellite to play ($60 No Limit Hold'em Satellite) at 2:00pm.  The satellite is structured with 8,000 unit starting stacks, (15) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: The doors open at 9:00am, with three hours of "Turbo High Hands," as $100 will be awarded every (10) minutes (rollovers apply).  The promotion runs from 9:00am-12:00pm, and has quickly become popular with the players (as the rollovers have seen some high hands reach the $1,000 mark!!!).
The "standard" high hands will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 12:00pm-6:00pm).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.

At 6:00pm, the high hands grow even larger, as $500 will be awarded every (30) minutes.  The winning high hands made with one card (during the 6:00pm-midnight period) will be awarded $250.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
