Thursday, July 18th: Vittori Faricelli Tops Event #1 Chop, As The FSPC Continues On With Event #2 ($130 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD)

ICYMI: There were four "events" on yesterday's tournament schedule, but only one of those was not a satellite, as players returned for Day 2 of Event #1 ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD).  A total of (21) players had bagged chips from the pair of opening flights, with (16) players utilizing the Day 2 buy-in option, so action began with (37) players.  From that number, (12) were scheduled to make the money, looking to take home their share of the $100,000 prize pool.  After four hours of play, the money bubble would burst, with the final table being reached shortly after 5:00pm.  Action would eventually end in a three-way chop, with Vittori Faricelli (Boynton Beach, FL) taking home first place money in the deal.  Originally from the Northeast, Vittori earned just his second tournament cash in Florida, and second career major title (after winning an event during the WSOP Circuit at Foxwoods).  Official results from Event #1 of the Florida State Poker Championships are listed below:
  1. Vittorio Faricelli (Boynton Beach, FL) $21,708
  2. Brandon Noe (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $20,724
  3. Georgii Belianin (Russia) $20,293

Tournaments: After the 2019 Florida State Poker Championships started with a larger buy-in event, it's now time for Event #2 ($130 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD), which is likely to be the largest tournament of the series (in terms of field size).  The tournament has eight flights over the next four days, with Day 2 players returning on Monday (at 1:00pm).  Each of the starting flights are structured with 50,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that will last (30) minutes throughout the event.  Registration is open through Level 8 each day, allowing players who decide to enter last minute, a great opportunity to still play deep tournament poker.  The action begins at 11:00am with Flight 1A, and will be followed by Flight 1B, which begins at 6:00pm.

Sandwiched between the two starting flights for Event #1, is another $80 No Limit Hold'em Step Satellite, into the $340 NLH FPSC Main Event Mega (July 23rd).

Promotions: The daily promotions saw a small "makeover" yesterday, and will run with the same schedule each day, for the rest of the month of July.  Things begin with the "Full House Promo," which will open the doors seven day a week!!!  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $150 every (20) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded, regardless of one or two cards being used to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, two-card high hands are worth $100, with one-card high hands walking away with $50.

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
