Sunday, August 6th: "Easy Like A Sunday Morning," Finishing Off The Weekend With "Turbo High Hands"

ICYMI: Saturday's tournament action began with the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" ($3,000 GTD).  After registration closed, the official field would be made up of (51) entries, equating to a prize pool $2,972 ($1,275 bounty pool).  The tournament ended in a seven-way chop, with the top six spots all earning $473, and seventh place walking away with $134.  Stanton Drazen (Boynton Beach, FL) was declared the tournament's "winner," which means that his Hendon Mob will reflect that first place (the only "top billing" on said resume).

  1. Stanton Drazen (Boynton Beach, FL) $473
  2. Linzell Borders (Tamarac, FL) $473
  3. Danny Blackburn (Deerfield Beach, FL) $473
  4. Greg Wells (Delray Beach, FL) $473
  5. Miguel Munoz (Miami, FL) $473
  6. Douglas Prawley (Boynton Beach, FL) $473
  7. Paul Berenson (Delray Beach, FL) $134
Last night's tournament was a $120 No Limit Hold'em event, which offered one of the better "daily" structures players will find (25,000 unit starting stacks, and 20/25 minute levels).  There would be (85) entries once registration closed, with a prize pool of $7,225.  A min-cash in the event was worth $202, with first place scheduled to win $2,330.  Anna Dikker (Hallandale, FL) would be the event's winner, but would take a little less than what was posted, after a seven-way deal was agreed to (results listed below).
  1. Anna Dikker (Hallandale, FL) $1,249
  2. Erin Coley (Lake Worth, FL) $1,165
  3. James Smith (East Palatka, FL) $1,010
  4. Olivier Coulombier (Charleston, SC) $877
  5. Scott Di Benedetto (Boca Raton, FL) $757
  6. Patricia Conrad (Delray Beach, FL) $665
  7. Steven Cocoros (Boynton Beach, FL) $597
  8. Anthony Casas (Miami, FL) $253
  9. Hosney Boutros (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $233
  10. Tom Gity (Pompano Beach, FL) $217
Tournaments: There is only one tournament on the daily schedule, a $150 No Limit Hold'em event that begins at 12:00pm.  Players in the event sit down to starting stacks of 20,000 units, and will be playing (25) minutes throughout.

Promotions: For a number of months, Sunday's high hand promotion has been of the "turbo" format, with $300 awarded every (15) minutes from 2:00pm-9:00pm (rollovers apply).  While that promotion is still in place this afternoon, there will be an extra six hours of "turbo" high hands, with $100 awarded every (10) minutes, from 8:00am-2:00pm (rollovers apply).  However you break it down, it's $600 worth of high hands up for grabs over the span of (13) hours.  Both tournaments are high hand eligible, adding even more appeal to the events.
