ICYMI: Saturday night's tournament was a $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD), which ended up surpassing all expectations. The cards got in the air at 6:00pm, and after eight levels of open registration, the tournament clock showed (76) entries (which equated to a $5,700 prize pool). A total of ten players were scheduled to reach the money, with action pausing after reaching five-handed play. Sitting with an overwhelming chip lead, Antonio Campbell (Boynton Beach, FL) was awarded the lion's share of a five-way chop, walking away with $1,700 (while the others were awarded $718). Tournaments: This afternoon hosts the final tournament that makes up the "weekend run" at the Isle Casino Pompano Park Poker Room. The $130 No Limit Hold'em event gets underway at 3:00pm, and carries a very player-friendly structure. Players in the event will sit down to starting stacks of 20,000 tournament chips, with (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).
Promotions: There is a short break from "special" high hand promotions today, with the "standard" high hand awarded over the course of the day (11:00am-3:00am). What is the "standard" high hand you ask? The qualifying high hand for every (30) minutes will be awarded $100, with said hand having to be made using both hole cards (one card high hands no longer qualify).
