Saturday, January 12th: Saturday's Action Headlined By $1,000 Bonus High Hands (6:00pm-12:00am)

ICYMI: Friday's tournament schedule started with the $75 No Limit Hold'em Survivor ($1,000 GTD), which has become one of the more popular weekly recurring tournaments.  One in every ten entries is scheduled to walk away with $500, and after the event attracted a total of (39) entries, four players were on their way to a payout (with three earning $500, and one collecting $490).  The posted payouts were eventually altered, as players agreed to a six-way deal, with the official results from the event posted below:
  1. Mike Spadafore (Boynton Beach, FL) $500
  2. Joseph Mancuso (Deerfield Beach, FL) $350
  3. Arnold Cohen (West Palm Beach, FL) $350
  4. Vincent Cairo (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $350
  5. Glen Boutiler (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $200
  6. Zaki Lichaa (Pompano Beach, FL) $200
The Friday evening time slot was filled by the $80 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD), which ended up crushing the number.  After eight levels of open registration, and optional add-ons included, the official prize pool would close at $5,350.  Ten players were scheduled to earn money in the tournament, and after a handful of in-the-money eliminations, the event would end in a five-way deal.  Richard Scola (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) took home first place money in the chop ($1,002), with full results from the tournament listed below:
  1. Richard Scola (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,002
  2. Gilberto Sanchez (Bartow, FL) $900
  3. Joseph Ricco (Boynton Beach, FL) $796
  4. Daniel Restrepo (Boca Raton, FL) $796
  5. Chantal Lecours (Ottawa, Canada) $796
  6. Milton Thomas (Tamarac, FL) $268
  7. Blaine McRae (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $235
  8. Donald Newton (Wilton Manors, FL) $214
  9. Thomas Labombarda (Tamarac, FL) $182
  10. Fergus Hardy (Endland) $161
Tournaments: Saturday's tournament schedule begins at 11:00am, with a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Seniors 50+" event.  The event is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (25) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Following the afternoon event (at 6:00pm), is a $150 No Limit Hold'em tournament.  The event is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

There is also a "Bonus High Hand" period today (from 6:00pm-12:00am), offering players the opportunity to win up to $1,000 every half-hour.  In addition to the "standard" high hand period listed above, if the winning high hand for the half-hour is quads or better (using both hole cards), the prize will be $1,000.  Any other qualifying high hand will revert to the "standard" high hand rules.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
