Thursday, October 3rd: Event #1 Of The Isle Open Rolls On, With Numbers Expected To Grow

ICYMI: The 2019 Isle Open started yesterday, with Event #1 of the series, which is a $400 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  Flight 1A of the event wrapped up with (33) total entries, of which (9) players bagged chips for Sunday's Day 2.  It's important to note, that registration is open throughout the entire flight, and continues to stay open for two levels on Day 2.  Official Flight 1A chip counts are posted below:

Just as Flight 1A was finishing up, players began for Flight 1B, which got underway at 6:00pm.  After just over seven hours of play (these opening flights play through Level 14), just three players remained (from a total of 24 entries), ready to pack up their stacks for Sunday's Day 2.  Official Flight 1B chip counts are listed below:

While the numbers for the tournament sound light, we are actually on a perfect pace to eclipse the $100,000 guarantee, with the opening pair of flights attracting a total of (57) entries.  The current prize pool sits at $19,665, with the remaining six flight needed just (39) entries each (to reach $100,000).  Even if that number isn't attained by Saturday, players can still join the action on Sunday (which we expect a lot to do).

Tournaments: The 2019 Isle Open has finally arrived, with the opening event getting the cards in the air at 11:00am.  Event #1 is a $400 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) tournament, with six flights over the next three days.  The tournament is structured with 50,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels (on Day 1), and registration that is open through Level 16.  Day 1 is scheduled to conclude after Level 14, meaning that there is open registration for two levels on Day 2 (Sunday).  The other structural change on Day 2 comes is in regards to the level length, which shifts to (40) minutes.  Flight 1C is scheduled for 11:00am, Flight 1D for 6:00pm, with a $90 No Limit Hold'em Satellite sandwiched in between (at 3:00pm).

Promotions: Things begin with the "Full House Promo," which will open the doors on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in October).  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
