Saturday, December 11th: Friday's $5,000 GTD Ends In Five-Way Deal, With $1,000 "Highest Hand" And $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) Headlining Today's Schedule

ICYMI: Friday's tournament schedule was headlined by the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) event, which has been one of the more successful tournaments on the calendar.  Last night's installment attracted a total of (62) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $7,564 (which easily surpassed the posted number).  A total of eight players were scheduled to reach the money, with the action playing through the money bubble, and down to a five-handed final table.  The remaining handful ended up agreeing to a deal, which saw everyone walk away with at least $1,184.  Former poker room supervisor Victor Korobka (Boca Raton, FL) took home first place honors, which was worth $1,488.  Official results from the event are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:

Tournaments: Saturday's 6:00pm tournament is one of the most popular on the schedule, as it offers an incredibly affordable buy-in, that always sees some great returns.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) event has consistently crushing the posted guarantee, as the prize pool reaches five-figures on a weekly basis.

The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 12,000 chips, and levels that last (20) minutes throughout the event.  Registration is open through Level 8, allowing for almost three hours of play, prior to the window closing for the night.

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 5:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period.

From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
