Friday, March 15th: Just Two More Days Until The Start Of The 2019 Battles At The Beach

ICYMI: Thursday's tournament slate hosted some of the recurring tournament "staples," starting with the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack."  The event saw registration close with a total of (19) entries, and an official prize pool of $1,843.  Three spots were scheduled to get paid, but once action reached the money bubble, a four-way deal was agreed to.  The official results of the chop are listed below:
  1. Luis Rivera (Hialeah, FL) $547
  2. Alan Levin (Rochester, NY) $505
  3. Harry Silver (Boca Raton, FL) $429
  4. Andrew Daire (Boca Raton, FL) $362
At 6:00pm, the "Monster Stack" was followed by a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" tournament.  The field eventually closed with a total of (22) entries, and a prize pool of $1,584 (not including the bounty pool).  Just like the afternoon event, three spots were scheduled to get paid, but the evening's chop was not agreed to, until the money bubble burst.  Official details of the tournament are posted below:
  1. Celso Leroy (Delray Beach, FL) $567
  2. Thomas Allard (Pompano Beach, FL) $567
  3. Dan Tinney (Boca Raton, FL) $450
Tournaments: Friday's tournament action kicks off at 11:00am, with a $75 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($1,000 GTD), which will see every 1 in 10 entries earn a $500 pay spot.  The tournament is structured with 14,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  This event should be very popular with players, considering the small investment...and large return.

The evening time slot sees the return of the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster," which boasts a $2,500 guaranteed prize pool.  The "chip buster" name refers to the tournament's starting stacks, which are 50,000 units.  The event has (20) minute levels, and a registration period that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
