Saturday, February 6th: Friday's Tournament Attract Record-Breaking Numbers, With Tonight's Tournament Getting A "Guarantee" Boost!

ICYMI: We frequently mention how popular all of the weekly tournaments are becoming, but Friday night's $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD), has firmly held the title of "headliner."  Last night's installment attracted a total of (111) entries, and an official prize pool of $12,765.  That's one of the best turnouts we've seen, with (14) players lucky enough to grab their share of the prize pool.  With the payouts as healthy as they were, players at the final table weren't too quick to agree to a deal.  It wasn't until heads-up play was reached, that a chop a finalized.  Antanael Thomas (Palm Springs, FL) took home first place money in the deal, which was worth $3,194.  Official results from last night's event are listed below:
  1. Antanael Thomas (Palm Springs, FL) $3,194
  2. Claudio Magda (Cambridge, ON) $2,998
  3. Diane Lepera (Brigantine, NJ) $1,417

  5. Steven Gore (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $715
  6. Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) $587
  7. Linzell Borders (Tamarac, FL) $498
  8. Jose Delcid (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $434
  9. Edward Shea (Slinger Island, NY) $383
  10. Barry Shapiro (West Palm Beach, FL) $338
  11. Joseph Ricco (Boynton Beach, FL) $338
  12. Craig Browne (Oakland Park, FL) $338
  13. Jairo Velasquez (Sunrise, FL) $300
  14. Fredrik Wannus (Wellington, FL) $300
Tournaments: Coming off of last night's success, players are already looking forward to this evening's $100 No Limit Hold'em event...which now has a $5,000 guarantee!!! The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (and the short break that follows).  One would be hard pressed to find a tournament that offers better value, and the field sizes have correlated with that fact.

Promotions: Saturday's high hand promotion stays the same from open to close...awarded $200 every (30) minutes, to the qualifying high hand (must be aces-full or better).  In order to make a qualifying high hand, players must use both hole cards, as one-card high hands are no longer eligible.

6:00pm: $100 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 12,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
