Monday, February 15th: Tabares And Botabayev Chop The "Monster Stack," Capping Off A Special "Weekend Swing"

ICYMI: After Saturday night's record-breaking showing, one could only imagine was Sunday's event was going to bring.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) is another tournament that has been trending with players, and yesterday's numbers showed just that.  A total of (81) entries showed on the clock at registration's end, equating to an extremely healthy $8,100 prize pool.  Before we get to the results, it's important to point out one of the more attractive features of the event...it's a great payday, and you're likely home at a reasonable hour (for a work night).

A total of eleven players reached the money, with the evening's action concluding in a heads-up chop, between Alexander Tabares and Darkhan Botabayev.  Darkhan's name has made it's appearance on payouts a lot post-pandemic, and when larger series (or multi-day events) return to the Isle, he should be one to look out for.  Official results from last night's tournament are listed below:
  1. Alexander Tabares (Palmetto Bay, FL) $2,096
  2. Darkhan Botabayev (Sunny Isles. FL) $2,096
  3. Deborah Dana (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $982
  4. Frank Traino (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $664
  5. Drew Duncan (Bethalto, IL) $506
  6. Daniel Genachte (Deerfield Beach, FL) $405
  7. Shawn Farmer (Opa Locka, FL) $336
  8. Michael Bailine (Davie, FL) $284
  9. Carlos Vazquez (West Palm Beach, FL) $261
  10. Jay Schultz (Delray Beach, FL) $243
  11. Oliver Sommer (Deerfield Beach, FL) $227
Promotions: From 11:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.
