ICYMI: Updated Player Of The Month Leaderboard (May 2021)

Top (10) places get paid, with a total of (18) events remaining in the month!!!

Saturday, May 8th: Darkhan Botabayev Finds Himself In Familiar Place, Chops Friday's Tournament With Tony Burns!

ICYMI: Tournament run-good is a real thing, and when daily events returned to the Isle, Darkhan Botabayev was crushing.  His name was listed in the results on a consistent basis, and most were deep final table runs.  There was no Player Of The Month Leaderboard at the time, so Darkhan walked away with just the money won from cashing (which was still an impressive number).  Last night, he made his way to the top of the results once again, chopping the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) with Tony Burns (former Tournament Director at the Hard Rock Hollywood).  The tournament attracted a total of (123) entries, and had an official prize pool of $14,145.  The first place finish put Darkhan atop the POTM leaderboard, which will be posted later this afternoon.  Last night's tournament results are listed below:
  1. Darkhan Botabayev (Sunny Isles, FL) $3,746
  2. Tony Burns (Davie, FL) $2,900
  3. Pathana Boungnasiri (Boca Raton, FL) $1,521
  4. Dylan Cecere (Coconut Creek, FL) $955

Tournaments: The train to "value town" departs the station at 6:00pm, when the cards get in the air for the $100 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD).  Last week's Saturday evening tournament attracted (155) entries, and had a prize pool of $11,625...for a $100 buy-in.  The payouts offered solid returns on investment, with first place taking home $2,116 (as part of a three-way chop).

The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (as well as the short break that follows).

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

There is a new promotion to announce, and it will surely make those that prefer four-card action happy!  On Friday and Saturday in the month of May, players will receive $50 for the first (5) hours of PLO played.  It's that easy...sit down to a 2/2 PLO game, and after you've been actively playing for five hours, you will receive a cash payout.

6:00pm: $100 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 12,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
