Friday, March 18th: Danilo Parada Continues To Distance Himself From The Field, As We Enter Another Weekend Of Poker Action

ICYMI: Thursday's $180 No Limit Hold'em "Double Green Chip Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) is getting comfortable as the recurring event once again (after the Mystery Bounty took that slot for a while).  Last night's installment attracted a total of (43) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of ($3,913), not including the bounty pool.  A total of six players were scheduled to reach the money, with the evening's action playing down to an outright winner.  Danilo Parada was trying to secure even more leaderboard points, but was out dueled by Daniel Bueno (Sunrise, FL), who ended up notching the win.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:
  1. Daniel Bueno (Sunrise, FL) $1,526
  2. Danilo Parada (Oakland, FL) $900
  3. Corey Ristich (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $548
  4. Abraham Mevorah (Pompano Beach, FL) $391
  5. Walter Osband (Hudson, NY) $313
  6. Samuel Marks (Pompano Beach, FL) $235

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room.  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions: From 9:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 9:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 9:00am-9:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 9:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).

  • Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
