Level 24 (Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000)
Total Entries: 279

  2. Alexandre Fradin
  3. John Depersio
  4. Pedro Aldave
  5. Nissim Gozlan
  6. Jerry Wong
  7. Maurice Hawkins

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Depersio Doubles Through Ageloff, Ageloff Busts Shortly Thereafter ($5,157)

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 24 (Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 10/279

Brandon Ageloff (Coconut Creek, FL) 11th Place - $5,157

John Depersio had 550,000 over four hours ago, which is pretty remarkable, considering the chip average now is at 520,000.  The chip leader coming into Day 2 couldn't find much traction since dinner, and he saw a steady decline in his stack.  Depersio doubled through Maurice Hawkins about an hour ago, and after dropping back below (10) big blinds, John would shove from the small blind.  Brandon Ageloff was in the big, and after saying that his first card was a good one, he'd toss a chip across his cards for a call.

It would be a race, with Depersio holding 5♠ 5♣ against Ageloff's A7♠, and John hitting a set on the turn to leave Brandon with less than (8) bigs.  Brandon would be eliminated moments later in a three-way all-in between himself, Maurice Hawkins, and Stu Patterson.

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Depersio Rivers An Ace To Stay Alive, Level Up

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 23 (Blinds 8,000/16,000/2,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 11/279

On the last hand of Level 22, John Depersio shoved from early position for 125,000, and was called by Maurice Hawkins.  After the blinds folded behind, Maurice quickly tabled J♠ J, with Depersio standing and rolling over A♣ 5♠.  The Q 3 5 flop added some more outs for Depersio, but the 10 on the turn would leave John looked for a non-diamond ace of five.  The A♠ fell on the river, allowing John to sit back down in his seat, and collect the pot worth over 250,000.

Players are now in Level 23, with blinds going up to 8,000/16,000/2,000 (520,000 chip average).  There will be one final break at the end of this level, and players will then return to play Level 24, with bagging to commence at it's conclusion (Day 3 tomorrow at 1:00pm).

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Eyzaguirre Eliminated In 12th Place ($5,157), Field On The Final Table Bubble

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 22 (Blinds 6,000/12,000/2,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 11/279

Ricardo Eyzaguirre (Orlando, FL)

Ricardo Eyzaguirre (Orlando, FL) was another player that was grinding a (well) below average stack, and TK Miles opened the button to 30,000, Ricardo three-bet shoved for 127,000 from the big blind.  Miles got an exact count before making the call, only to see his A♠ 7 behind the A♣ 8 of Eyzaguirre.  The 5 9♣ 7 J♣ 2 runout gave Miles yet another come from behind victory, sending Ricardo to the rail.  The WSOPC ring winner would bow out in 12th place, adding $5,157 to his already impressive career earnings.

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Touchette Busts Just Before Break In 13th Place ($4,385)

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 22 (Blinds 6,000/12,000/2,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 12/279

Andrew Touchette (Coconut Creek, FL)

In the final hand before the most recent break, Andrew Touchette was all-in and at risk, holding A♠ Qagainst Corey Burbick's K♠ K♣.  The runout offered no help to Andrew, who would be eliminated in 13th place, earning $4,385 for the finish.  The field is now only two bustouts from the final table, with the second re-draw of the tournament to occur at that point.

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Joe Smith Out In 15th Place ($4,385), Barbieri Follows In 14th Place ($4,385)

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 21 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 13/279

Joe Smith (Plantation, FL)

Joe Smith (Plantation, FL) had a roller-coaster day, coming into Day 2 above average, but then finding himself short as play reached the money.  He'd manage to find some doubles post- dinner break, and peaked at just over 300,000.  Smith was down to just 90,000 moments ago, and his pre-flop shove was called by Brandon Ageloff.  Smith's A♠ 6♣ was a dog against the A 2♠ of Ageloff, but the two would chop the hand a good portion of the time as well.  Things looked to be heading that way, until Ageloff hit a deuce on the river, sending Smith home in 15th place ($4,385).

David Barbieri (Coral Springs, FL)

David Barbieri (Coral Springs, FL) started the day below average, continued that way through the money, and found himself with just over (10) bigs at dinner break.  Barbieri managed to navigate the waters with such a short stack, playing (8-10) for close to two hours, while he watched the payouts jump.  Barbieri was all-in just moments ago (for less than 8 big blinds), with his K♣ 10♣ falling to the A♠ 7♠ of Corey Burbick.  David earns $4,385 for his 14th place finish, which is the third largest score of his career.

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Adler Watches A Dirty Runout To Bust In 17th Place ($3,665), Reyes Follows Right After ($3,665)

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 21 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 15/279

Adam Adler (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) 17th Place - $3,665

There was a three-way all-in at Table 3, with Jose Reyes, Adam Adler, and TK Miles all very close in chips.  It doesn't happen often, but it was Adler with A♠ A♣, Reyes with K♠ K♣, and Miles with Q Q.  The board would runout 8♣ 5♠ J♣ 9♣ 10, giving Miles a winning straight on the river, and drawing a quick look of disbelief from Adler.  Reyes seemed just as disgusted with the scenario that unfolded, but he was still left with chips (just 10,000).  Adler was the shortest stack, and would be eliminated in 17th place, earning himself $3,665.  Miles chipped up to 500,000, with Reyes busting just a few hands later.

Jose Reyes (Boynton Beach, FL) 16th Place - $3,665

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Richard Rice Eliminated In 18th Place ($3,665)

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 21 (Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 17/279

Richard Rice (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) 18th Place - $3,665

Richard Rice (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) was knocked out moments ago by John Depersio, but it was a hand with Pedro Aldave moments before that would be his undoing.  Aldave shoved for 150,000 over an open from Rice, with Richard calling, and being in rough shape.  Rice's A Q♠ was dominated by the A K♠ of Aldave, but the 5 6♣ Q♠ flop quickly swayed the percentages.  After the 10♠ on the turn, Rice said aloud to the dealer, "Just no jack."  Only a matter of seconds later, the J♠ would arrive on the river, leaving Rice with just ten bigs.  He'd be eliminated just two hands later by John Depersio, earning $3,665 for his efforts.

Alexandre Fradin (Burgues, Spain)

After hours going by with only a handful of eliminations, we've seen four bustouts in the first (20) minutes of Level 20.  Two of those players to get knocked out fell at the hands of Alexandre Fradin, who has separated himself from the field.

Action folded around to Fradin on the button, who would open for raise, with a short-stacked Noel Atherley shoving (15) big blinds from the small blind.  After Anthony Hockaday folded his big blinds, Fradin quickly called, and turned over A♠ A.  "You really are running well," Noel said to Fradin, who turned over K♣ J♣.  The 10♠ 5♠ 8 7♣ 7♠ runout gave Atherley a glimmer of hope on the turn, but the board pairing on the river would seal his fate.  Fradin is up to 850,000, and leads the (19) remaining players in the field.  After the next elimination, the field will experience it's first full re-draw of the event, with new seating assignments posted shortly thereafter.

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Level Going Up, Dinner Break Drawing Near

Level 19 (Blinds 3,000/6,000/500)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 25/279

Loni Harwood (Staten Island, NY)

Level 19 started just a few minutes, with blinds going up to 3,000/6,000/500 (228,000 chip average).  Play is still super deep, which is why we've seen the pace of eliminations come to a crawl.  This will be the last break before dinner, which will see players away from the tables from 6:30pm-7:15pm.

Loni Harwood came into the day with 53,000, and grinded a below average stack for most of the afternoon, until doubling through Maurice Hawkins.  Loni got it in with an 7♠ 8♣ on a 9♠ 10 5♣ board, with Hawkins holding Q 10.  She would get there with a 6♠ on the river, and use that hand to catapult her way up the leaderboard.  She now sits with 230,000, and is playing an average stack for the first time today.

Hawkins absorbed the loss, and then went on to run his stack up to over 400,000 since that hand.

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): Reyes Gets a Double Through Burbick

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 18 (Blinds 2,500/5,000/500)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 26/279

Jose Reyes (Boynton Beach, FL)
Just two hands back from break, we'd approach Table 1 during a hand between Jose Reyes and Corey Burbick.  With a board of J 3♠ 2♠ 6♣, Reyes would check the action to Burbick, who bet put out a stack of 60,000.  Reyes didn't seem to love his decision, but did push forth his stack, which was just over 75,000.

Burbick threw in a chip for a call, and the hands would be tabled.  Corey rolled over A♠ 9♠, an underdog against Jose's 10♠ 10♣, but he still had a card to come.  The river 9♣ solidified the double-up for Reyes, who would end up with 180,000 after the chips were pushed his way.

Corey Burbick dropped down to 165,000 after absorbing the loss, but still has a manageable (30) big blinds stack.

Jose Reyes - 180,000
Corey Burbick - 165,000

Level 17 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/400)

Ricardo Eyzaguirre (Orlando, FL)

The players remaining in Event #14 just started posting new blinds of 2,000/4,000/400, with Level 17 beginning just moments ago.  The 184,000 chip average is just under (45) big blinds, allowing for some very deep play.  John Depersio and Alexandre Fradin continue to lead the field, with Ian O'Hara and Jerry Wong climbing since the last break.

Ricardo Eyzaguirre (Orlando, FL) is another name with a rising chip count, and is currently in the midst of his best statistical year of poker.  Ricardo not only made a nice run at the WSOP $10,000 Main Event, he also won his first WSOPC ring this past April ($365 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" $74,853) at Cherokee.  Eyzaguirre just eclipsed the 300,000 mark, and sits fifth overall in chips.

FSPC Event 14 (Day 2): "Just Unlucky," Idrovo Eliminated On The Bubble

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 14 - $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD)
Level 16 (Blinds 1,500/3,000/500)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 36/279

Pedro Aldave (Hallandale Beach, FL)

Pedro Idrovo had about as rough of a bubble as a player could have.  Idrovo got involved in a hand with Hyndi Khomutetsky, starting the hand with close to 150,000.  He would call a bet pre, and then call once again when Hyndi bet 18,000 after the J9 2♣ flop.  Idrovo called once again on the turn (10♠), with Hyndi betting out 25,000.  After the 4♣ on the river completed the board (J 9 2♣ 10♠ 4♣), Hyndi announced hereself all-in for 60,000.  Pedro took some time in the tank, but eventually pushed his hand towards the muck.  Hyndi turned over 2♠ 3, going with her pair of deuces for her tournament life.

Left with just over 100,000 after that hand, Idrovo would find himself embattled in a hand with Pedro Aldave.  On a J♣ 5♣ 3♥ 9 board, Idrovo bet out 20,000, with Aldave making the call.  The action began four-handed, so heading to the river, Idrovo would be left with a pot sized stack (70,000).  After the 8♠ on the river, Idrovo shoved, and Aldave quickly made the call.  Aldave immediately turned over Q♣ 10♣, having rivered the straight, and beaten Idrovo's J J.

"Just unlucky," Idrovo said to the table, as he collected his things and walked away from the table.  No other players were eliminated on that same hand, meaning Pedro Idrovo would be the Event 14 "bubble boy."  Everyone remaining is guarantee at least $1,914, with the payouts to be posted at each pay jump.

Level 16 (Blinds 1,500/3,000/500)
Total Entries: 279
Players Remaining: 37/279

Ian O'Hara (Boca Raton, FL)

Marc Duquette was just all-in and at risk against Ian O'Hara, holding A♣ 5♣ against Ian's A K♠.  Marc was all-in for less than ten bigs, but he did get a good sweat from the K♣ J 6♣ flop.  The A♠ on the turn left Duquette looking for a club, which did not fall on the river.

The field is now one off the money, with hand-for-hand play beginning, and continuing that way until the next player is eliminated.
