Paul Balzano (Sunrise, FL) is taking a break from the grind of the WSOP, but not from the actual grind of tournament poker.

Paul Balzano (Surnise, FL) was thought to have been one of those referenced players that was in Las Vegas (for the WSOP), but he was just spotted in the Flight 1A field.  He had been out in Las Vegas for the beginning of the WSOP, but returned home for his daughter's recital this week.  With the weekend free, Balzano chose to try and grab a piece of this six-figure prize pool, sitting down just moments before players went on their first break.  Paul has over $1,376,000 in career tournament earnings, including a title win in the 2017 Isle Poker Open $1,500 NLH Championship Event ($112,075).  Paul's most recent Isle Casino Poker Room tournament cash came back in January, when he reached the final three tables of the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) multi (21st Place - $1,425).

Stanley Aufseeser (Deerfield Beach, FL) had not one recorded cash just two months ago, but now has a resume with three results, and over $6,000 in earnings.

One would venture to believe that while the World Series Of Poker is running in Las Vegas, and players are traveling out west for extended periods of time, that the tournament fields in Florida get a little bit "easier."  We use the term "easier" very lightly, because we know how difficult it is to win any tournament, regardless of who is around.

Stanley Aufseeser (Deerfield Beach, FL) doesn't mind the missing pieces from these tournaments, as he's experiencing a pretty solid run.  Stanley recorded his first Hendon Mob result just over a month ago, when he finished in 55th place, during the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) that ran the first week of May.  Three weeks later, Aufseeser would reach the final table of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Single-Ante ($50,000 GTD), earning $4,480 for his 5th place finish.  The very next day, Aufseeser would record his first tournament win, taking down the $80 No Limit Hold'em ($2,500 GTD) event for $908.

Aufseeser is now in the Flight 1A field, looking to score a "superfecta,"and continue to add results to that newly formed tournament resume.  Players are about to take their first break of the day, and will be returning to Level 5, and new blinds of 150/300/50.  The player's break will also coincide with a break from coverage, as we allow the opening flight to take form, and check back in as we reach it's later stages.

Just two weeks after a very successful running, the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) is back, with the first pair of opening flights on today's schedule.  Last month's installment of the event attracted a field of 1,252 entries, and had an official (paid out) prize pool of $181,504.  The tournament ended in a six-way deal, with Michael Marks topping the deal ($20,072).

(Detailed) Live-blogged coverage of the event will pick up on Day 2 (Sunday), but there will still be posts made each day, including official chip counts from each flight.
