Sunday, January 3rd: Yet Another Great Tournament Turnout, As Saturday's Event More Than Triples Guarantee!!

ICYMI: Friday night's $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) started the year strong, but last night's $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD) showed us what strong was.  Registration for the tournament closed with a total of (127) entries, equating to a prize pool of $9,525.  A total of sixteen players were scheduled to grab a piece of the prize pool (which we should mention, tripled the posted guarantee).  Things ended in another deal, with the final six players agreeing to some altered numbers.  Chrystie Dario (Delray Beach, FL) took home first place in the deal, which was worth $1,497.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

  1. Chrystie Dario (Delray Beach, FL) $1,497
  2. David Singer (Boynton Beach, FL) $1,335
  3. Daniel Kohler (Central Square, NY) $1,198
  4. Jasmine Schofill (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $1,149
  5. Tyler Gray (Bradenton, FL) $1,097

Tournaments: Sunday's tournament schedule sees an event hosted at 3:00pm...the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD).  The tournament is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  This is yet another tournament that has not missed it's guarantee, since the posted number was added in December.

Promotions: One of the changes in the promotional calendar for January, was the addition of $300 high hands on Sunday.  From 11:00am to 11:00pm, players will be vying for those $300 bonus payments every (30) minutes.  Those qualifying high hands must be aces-full or better, using both hole cards (one card high hands no longer qualify).

  • Players start with 20,000 in tournament chips
